Wasn't it not too long ago that IGN reported that the Wii had the highest attachment rate or 2nd highest attachment rate?
Or was that only for the month of December or something like that?

@Kyle81: Actually, you should get over it yourself.
So called "hardcore" gamers label themselves that to stroke their own ego because their self-esteem is too low.

Maybe it's all those ninja cartoons....lol

Perhaps we are giving far too much weight on issues that concern us as adults now, such as animation quality, voice quality, etc etc.
As kids, they'll enjoy it just because it's fun and awesome with things transforming and shooting at each other.

@steliosco: And you want to consider a Xbox360 or PS3 a next gen console...
Because it released an improved Xbox/PS with old controllers...is not classified as next gen.
Oh wait....

@dowingba:
What you've said is so true.People keep on blaming Nintendo for the lack of graphically pleasing games, but as with the Gamecube, it's the lazy developers who are to blame.
Look at what Factor 5 did with the Gamecube, and also later on with Capcom and Resident Evil 4....
Just like PCs, as the hardware grows faster and faster, it seems like a majority of developers are getting lazier and lazier....and it's the rare ones, that truly develop something amazing.

It's the lack imagination of what to use the wii remote for that's the sad part.
Sure 1:1 swinging and action is a stupid idea, but the basic premise of using the IR pointer to point to where you want to swing, use the B trigger to fire the arm is already a lot better than trying to aim with an analog stick.
There must be a team out there, besides Nintendo, who can think of good ways of using the controls.
But of course, $$$ talks, and no company is willing to risk trying something out...until it's already done.
