I'm posting this here as well as in a comment to the actual article because I feel it's important you read it.

@AJ Glasser: "Remember when 'release date' meant the game was done?"

Nope. I remember when "release date" meant you were stuck with what you got, as in there was no such thing as patches. I can't remember there EVER being a game without bugs/glitches.

Instead of being sarcastic, perhaps you should be grateful that a game is getting patched in it's first week. Some games have been out for months or even years with problems yet to be fixed.

Seriously, your lack of appreciation aggravates me. Not only that but Empire TW is an amazing game that is stuffed with 14 gigs worth of "finished".

I'm all for calling out developers who release legitimately unfinished or unplayable games, I even rallied over 200 people against the pub/dev of Dark Messiah of Might and Magic for it's unplayability. This however is not one of those games, and I say this from a purely objective and technical standpoint combined with the fact that this was first Creative Assembly title I've ever played.

Just read the Pregnancy In Video Games feature.

[Interesting (and different from the usual) read. But why can't I seem to find a link to it on Kotaku!? (I had to read it in my feed reader.)]

I also did want to comment regarding the impact of over-simplified depictions of pregnancy in games on young children: Is it really different from when, as kids, you (not me, I'm male - really!) would stick a doll under your shirt and pull it out to simulate - more accurately "play" - pregnancy and birth? I would concede that there might be. Kids might recognize playing (with dolls) as play easily, but when something is conveyed in a different format like video games - think TV and movies also - do children understand it differently?
