@vizruy1: You haven't played Sonic and the Secret Rings. it starts out with Sonic being much slower than he can eventually get - you have to get "upgrades", Metroid style.

Sounds about right. GTA4 won't dent 360's hardware sales too much when everyone who wanted one pretty much had one ten SKUs ago. Also, cross platform title. 360 had a headstart too.

Who else thinks we'll hear something firm about Xbox 3/720/Ybox/whatever within 12 months?

I wonder what the attach rate's gonna be for MGS4. I know several people who want a PS3 for that title alone, and will probably not use the system again other than as a CD/DVD disc-spinner.

I feel it'll have a strong and consistent stream of sales for months to come rather than just a heavy first-day/week presence like many other games might.. hey, maybe it'll be the PS3's answer to Wii Play, or Mario and Sonic. :D
