Mini NInja's was a pretty fun, cute game... it just gets a bit repetitive as it goes... not bad though. Fire up some DC Universe Online... it is free now. It will just take a bit to get it downloaded and updated...
Basically, and at the minimum, I think there needs to be a unified account for each user that works on both the Wii-U and the 3DS. Sort of like the Gamertag on XBL or your sign in name on PSN. What would be even better though would be to see the 3DS and Wii-U be able to communicate much like the PS3 does with the PSP and up coming VIta... there would be lots of cool uses for this that I don't want to get into right now... but even if it is just to share data in certain games, move your Mii back and forth or be able to transfer photos/videos you taken with the 3DS to the Wii-U... simple things like that would be cool. But the 3DS is much better than any of the other Nintendo systems when it comes to the online set up. My biggest complaint is still no unified account that tracks across all Nintendo platforms. I hope to see that change...
I loved the original Kid Icarus. As a kid, it was one of my favorite NES games (even though it was very hard...). I really want to get excited about this game, but it is the control scheme that has me worried. I remember getting crazy hand cramps trying to play games like Metroid Prime Hunters and the like on DS... so I was so hoping this game would support the 3DS circle-stick attachment for an alternate, twin stick control scheme. Since it doesn't , I may end up waiting for a demo or renting the game before buying. It doesn't matter how much fun it is... if I can't play it comfortably, it isn't worth my time. Not with so many other great games out there for me to play right now. Otherwise, it looks like lots of fun!
I am not a Resident Evil fan, but I enjoyed the Revelations demo. And it looked really nice. Like playing an Xbox 1 or Gamecube game in the palm of my hands, and in 3D! :) I remember liking Lock'N Chase years and years ago, but don't think I would be into it these days... so not much else for me this week. That is ok though. I'm still enjoying Zen Pinball and Pushmo!
I so hope for two things, article related: That Nintendo gets their act together with the online aspects of the Wii-U (and by extension, the 3DS), and secondly, that Theatrhythm Final Fantasy makes it to the U.S. (I have more faith in the second one happening than the first... but seriously, Nintendo really needs to have a solid online solution going forward. Passable isn't going to do it if they want to compete with XBL, PSN, Steam and the other strong networks out there. Even those have room for improvement, but they are leaps and bounds ahead of Nintendo...
This makes me happy. I'm always glad to see a developer take customer feedback seriously. I've played the beta, and I loved it. But it did need some extra polish. Hopefully it will get that with the delay.
Don't watch this then. Wait til you finish the show. Not everyone agrees, but it was my fav show of all time (even with its ups and downs)... I would hate any of the surprises to get spoiled for you just for the sake of comedy. :)
I have no problem with fans of the original, entertainment is all about individual tastes and so forth... but I gotta say they lost me when they had time to stop off at a Casino planet or whatever... all while being the last survivors of humanity on the run from death machines... :) Obviously, there were some solid elements of the original or there would have been no point in making the new version... so I have much respect for it. If it wasn't for the original, then the reimagined version, which is my favorite show of all time, would not exist!
This was my favorite show ever... and my dream game would be a hybrid of Mass Effect and Wing Commander (or some other quality space shooter) giving us both on foot and in the cockpit action with lots of choices and adult themes... I would never leave the house!
I have nearly all of his lines memorized from Leon: The Professional. That scene in the bathroom with Portman gives me chills every time! "Do you like life..."
He may be my favorite actor... I adore this man... and the thought of him standing their talking to Jack Bauer himself is just too badass to imagine! Too bad Oldman was never on 24... he would have made a great villain!
No joke. They had just done a decent job of promoting them better and making them easier to find in the old dashboard, now they are buried all over again... maybe even harder to find than when they first started the channel.
Yeah, i was gonna wait and pick up the game sometime next year since I have beat both games in the past, and have so many new games on my plate... but dang, $20 is hard to beat. I may have to go grab it after all...
Totally get your critique of the Bethesda games. And yeah, they have their problems. And yeah, the games you listed probably are tighter all around... I guess I am lucky as I've not run into many if any game breaking bugs in my time with Bethesda games. I know they are out there. I've just managed to avoid them. Anyway, to me, I still think there is much to love about Skyrim. And I feel it is worthy of the honors it has received... but I am just not ready to crown it my GOTY (in part for the fact that it does have it's design flaws... to me, the combat/controls have come a long way, but still aren't as fluid and tight as I want them to be for example...). I feel Batman will likely get it (though I still have to play Zelda Skyward Sword and Assassin's Creed Revelations). I must say that Gears of War 3, Killzone 3, Saint's Row The Third, Super Mario 3D Land and even DC Universe Online are other games that I've consider to be GOTY worthy... it has been a good year! As good as next year looks, this year has provided some great games!
