There's a guy who appears in both pictures 2 and 4, and he is clearly ruining the atmosphere with a big cheesy grin. I like the cut of his jib. #residentevil
@ThursdayNext: But then you won't be able to hear any useful information that people who aren't on your friends list are providing, will you? If I auto-mute every single person who isn't my friend, then yes I'm muting all of the annoying kids, but I'm also muting those few people who actually try to help out and strategise and win the game, the few people I can simply have a laugh with or enjoy talking to in order to improve our chances of winning. IW are doing this to promote fair play and good teamwork, and yet the solution you have come up with would infact make it impossible for teamwork and strategy to have any part in the game, save for between friends. #modernwarfare2
@TRT-X: Cheaters are cheaters though, that's all I'm saying. If I wanted XP so badly that I would figure out a way to get on the opposite team to one of my friends, and party chat with him in order to get easy kills, then I am a cheater and something like this is not going to stop me from cheating, I would easily find some other method for doing this, msn is the obvious choice, or something like Skype, not exactly difficult to set up. All I'm saying is that someone who would actually go to the trouble of the party chat cheating in the first place, is not going to be deterred by the measures IW have taken here.
Another point, that Yossarian has also made, is that I have played hundreds, if not thousands of games of MW, and I have honestly never noticed this happen, not once. And if it was happening and I simply wasn't aware of it, then it didn't exactly bother me. It's a matter of whether a gamer is going to be more annoyed by the odd cheater, or by having to keep muting people and not having the convenience of party chat. I clearly think that people are going to be much more annoyed by the latter, so this is, IMO, a bad move from IW. #modernwarfare2
This is unbelievable tbh IW. There are so many other ways people could cheat if they really wanted. Gaming community, I ask you this, would you rather have one game every so often where people were cheating in private chat, or would you rather have to spend 30 seconds at the start of every single game you go into, muting every player you don't want to hear whining in your ear? It's ridiculous...there are so many disadvantages to this scheme...now I'll have to mute all the people on my team apart from my friends, because I want to speak to my friends privately, but then if my team are actually providing useful information about the match, like if they're calling out enemy locations, I won't even be able to hear it because I'll have muted them out of the same old fear of the standard XBL kid screaming "OH MAI GAD!!" in my ear every 5 seconds...Total. Fucking. Joke. #modernwarfare2
@Neocorey: It'd be harder to pick up/carry/store a disc without the hole, so it would be more likely to get scratched...interesting idea though. #talkamongstyourselves
