@Eggyhead85: Something tells me Family Guy and The Simpsons rake in a little more money than a cell phone game about popping pimples.
@ShaunassNZ: I don't think it "serves him right" at all. It's a dick move on both parts, but Apple could have at least been the bigger man.
See? This is why closed platforms are a load of shit.
@Ryodestined: Especially because you can play WoW decently on any relatively recent computer.
@Deilgyre: FFXI was designed with gamepads in mind. I can't see it working at all for WoW.
@Torusan: Linear games with sidequests (like JRPGs) generally bug me because they're so unrealistic. Take Golden Sun. I need to stop Alex and his pals from lighting some lighthouse urgently or the world will be destroyed, but I have the time to go fight through a dungeon with no bearing on the actual plot whatsoever!
@TheRuiner: The shit Rebulicans make up... *facepalm*
To anyone who supports this legislation: Please provide one scientific, empirical study that proves a significant causal link between the viewing of lolicon hentai and perpetration of sex crimes against children.
@Moonshadow101: Agreed. Last time I checked, "it might incite crime" isn't a legitimate reason to ban art.
@Jonathan Wills: The simple fact of the matter is that art is being censored by the government. When has this ever been acceptable?
@Slagathorian: No, people who are against the censorship of art because it might somehow incite crime. The snowball effect is irrelevant; this is not a logical restriction. It's not a real fucking child, there is no exploitation at hand, and last time I checked there is no empirical evidence that lolicon hentai leads to real sex crimes.
@doddler: Exactly. I don't think "it might incite crime" is a legitimate reason to ban something.
@spikespeigel: Agenda? I thought he didn't want to develop for the PS3 because it's a pain in the ass.
@DarkSolstice: True for me at least. I think anyone who buys Bioshock 2 for the multiplayer is doing it wrong.
@SlashZaku: That's what they meant, but I'm sure they could just include the content in a universal update and only let DLC buyers use it. Either way, it's better than the Halo 3 bullshit where I'm locked out of the online modes I bought the game for because I don't want to waste my money on a map pack.
I'm surprised some PC hacker didn't discover this earlier if it was in the game all along...
@halfthought: I have some heroic epics on my 80 DK and I still use my leveling build because I don't want to get rid of On A Pale Horse... And on your side note, I agree completely. When I want to play a game with a friend and just relax, WoW is the one simply because it usually doesn't require intense strategy or lightning reflexes.
@Tevor_the_Third: When you're dealing with budgets as huge as most big games nowadays, you can't afford not to focus on the money. Gaming is an industry and if you don't like it I'm afraid you'll have to wait around for the occasional great, original somewhat artsy game like Bioshock and play indie games in the meantime. I really don't have an issue with the dumbing down when the previous games' complexities were needlessly unwieldy or inconsequential. Also, on the reviews: Good reviews indicate a game widely accepted as good and bad reviews indicate one considered bad. It's not rocket surgery.
