"If you, as a company, issue stock, then the purchasers of that stock become part owners of the company - they own a "share" of the company.If someone with a lot of money to spend offers the shareholders a price that is higher than the current share price, and 51% or more of those shareholders agree to sell, the buyer then become the primary shareholder - in effect buying the company. I can see where the shareholders who WANT to sell their shares to EA at EA's price have a case."
