Cops cover for other cops all the time, and superiors will usually only address issues and abuses that go public. Most cops hate IA as much as they hate the "bad guys". "To protect and serve" is a misnomer, legally most police are required only to "respond and investigate". Police place their own safety above ALL civilians as an institutional policy."
