I bought my PS2 in early 2001. Every year up until 2007, there were at least five PS2 games that were either must own, or must play that came out between September and December. In some years, that number shot up to ten!
What AAA title came out for the Wii in the past six months? I would have been more likely to give Nintendo a pass last fall/winter, with Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3 being released, but this fall/winter? All the Wii got was shovelware.
If the Wii had just a couple AAA titles that came out recently, then I would be more inclined to agree with you.
Believe it or not; I would like to actually turn my Wii on for stuff other than VC games.
Same thing with Xbox Live; they should let you buy the exact amount of points you would need. This is one thing that Sony got right with the PSN.
We get the graphics and sound of the NES era, with the "pay for stuff that would have been free" BS of this generation.
When Capcom does the inevitable Mega Man X9 remake next year, I'm sure we'll have to pay a couple bucks to enable the freaking Sound Test menu.
