@shiwasu: Yeah, it's like this everywhere, but it's a lot worse in Japan. The only new IPs that don't get killed in the charts are generally non-games.
Nice. Marketplace has been a little barren since Christmas. Hopefully the DMC4 and Too Human demos will follow soon after.
I wonder how many it would take to make a full circle...
@blodia: It's the old-school Sonic lovers in the US and Europe who keep buying these games. We're learning (as the Sonic 2006 sales show), but some people still find it hard not to buy anything with Sonic's face on the cover even though they know it'll be crap.
@DaveKap: MS had nothing to do with it. The game was programmed by a couple of SNK guys who obviously wrote a piece of code that toned down the gore in the certain territories.

This is the exact same thing that happened with the original MVS and AES versions of the game. I imagine they just switched the original passed in variable to the 360's region settings without really thinking.

Eh. The first one kind of sucked. I got the impression that BioWare just aren't fans of Eastern culture the same way they are of traditional fantasy of sci-fi. Just felt like their hearts weren't in it.
For me it was a glass of sherry and a mince pie for Santa and a carrot for Rudolph. The illusion began to die when I asked what the hell the other reindeers were meant to eat.
Oh noes! Microsoft stole this idea from Nintendo and not one of the hundreds of other online services suchas iTunes or Steam that were already offering similar options.

Keeping in-line with competitors isn't stealing. It's not like any of the big name companies do anything original anyway, they just use it differently to build upon their current business strategies.

US only at the moment :(
@tehFluffzComeback: Only new thing I can see is the Twisted Metal trailer.
@tehFluffzComeback: Because I have a PSP, but don't have a PS3 and like buying downloadable games for my PSP.

It's like Sony are allergic to my money.

@InsomniaBob: So you're saying it'd be like Sega making one more console after the Saturn or Nintendo continuing to make consoles after the Virtual Boy? :p

If you bought one then fair enough - you've every right to be bitter - but I'm willing to bet that most of the people who insist on taking cheap shots haven't bought one. I know the demo unit in Virgin was enough to put me off, even if the idea of portable Tomb Raider blew my mind at the time.

Atleast the new devices look like phones this time. I'm not saying everyone should early adopt one, but it's not looking anywhere near the joke the original one was. I think it might be worth keeping an eye on.

@Indietendo64: The other half are busy photoshopping "HEAD: You're doing it wrong" onto it.
Did Nokia piss in everyone's cereal? How about giving them a chance? The fact the new N-Gage is a standard rather than platform suggests they might be doing something right this time.
It's either going to be April or sometime after September lest it be lost in the summer months that publishers seem to hate.
@IronsUK: Supposedly the whole movie features him scowling at everyone as he walks down the street and losing his temper with waitresses when they mess up his order.
@Ehardergardens: It requires installation so I doubt it'll work with PS3. Shame too, because it looks perfect for it.
Really surprised to see Sakaguchi in second place. Here's a hint, Japan: show him your love by buying his bloody games.
@Keen314: You'll let me have Mickey's Speedway, right? All I'm saying is that Rare never hit a homerun with every game they produced. Looking through their entire back catalogue, the great games to not-so-great games ratio currently looks the same to me as it always has.
