@trunkenmath: I'm in the same boat. I'm always afraid before I start up an RPG. It's so easy to get sidetracked by other games, and totally forget about the 70-hour long one.
@Arnheim: The updates are through Steam. When people talk about the updates they usually refer to the class updates (new weapons etc). Lots of maps have been added and an insane amount of tweaking. Good ad, I'll give 'em that. But isn't Eve one of most unfriendly games to beginners out there? I've heard so many epic stories about this game, so I'm definatly looking into it, but I ain't too keen on working six months just to finally have some fun.
