<![CDATA[Comments from eastx]]> <![CDATA[Comments from eastx]]> <![CDATA[eastx commented on Mega Man 9: Cheap As $10 Chips]]> @MeleeKirby: Yes, and the difference in production values between those two titles is staggering. Come on.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on Mega Man 9: Cheap As $10 Chips]]> I will happily pay $10 for a game that any aspiring programmer could developer at home and put out on the net for free. Heh, well despite that little niggle, I'll still get it.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on Don't Hate On Doom III, It Made Money]]> @Zazu_Yen: Monster closets *are* annoying, but anyway I think Serious Sam plays closer to Doom than Doom 3 does.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on Don't Hate On Doom III, It Made Money]]> I thought Doom 3 was loads of fun, but I probably would have enjoyed it even more if it played closer to the classic Dooms and less like Resident Evil.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented]]> That's creative, alright.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on Another Resident Evil Movie "A Possibility"]]> I liked the first two movies well enough, but the third is so like and unlike RE at the same time, it's hard to take. Plus the zombies looked like butt in that one.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on DualShock 3 And Xbox 360 Frankencontrollers]]> RDC stole a couple of controllers from me... His technical is unmatched, but he can be a huge jerk sometimes. Also hasn't this modification been performed by Ben Heck already?

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on Rock Band 2 To Get A Jolt Of AC/DC, Survey Says]]> Harmonix sure has been playing their cards close to their chests for Rock Bands 2... But this is a good sign of what's to come.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on New Soul Calibur IV Screens: Tits]]> Somebody always complains about these, but I'll never say a harsh word about breasts, baby.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on New Halo Wars Screens, Unit Info]]> Dowingba is right.

@Evdor: If you hate Halo so much, why not just topics about it? Oh, and rather than generic, I'd classify Master Chief as iconic.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on Guitar Hero DS Rises From The Grave To Feast On Flesh Of The Living]]> @Zim: Your opinions on music games are quite lame. A world without Guitar Hero and Rock Band, but still containing Guitar Freaks, would not be a happy world. Also Guitar Hero DS is not exactly an unnecessary sequel - it's just a portable version. Great for kids or people on the go.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on Leaked Details On Lips, Microsoft's Answer To SingStar]]> @slomo788: Wow, they sure are incredibly successful for a compnay that didn't try at all.... You need to keep your fanboyism in check though. You guys have ruined this thread and many like it. :(

Lips sounds really good and if the mics work for Rock Band (or at least part 2), then I will definitely get it. I have a hard time imagining Lips debuting as a better product than Singstar PS3 though, so my purchase decision hinges on that microphone compatibility.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on Fan-Industry Interactions: the Case of Fallout]]> Yeah, that text is just plain ugly. My college papers are a lot easier to read, anyway.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on Turbonegro For Guitar Hero, SingStar As Well]]> @JustThisGuy: I thought Prop was a punk band.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on Turbonegro For Guitar Hero, SingStar As Well]]> ...Err, like a band. Little Freudian slip there.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on Turbonegro For Guitar Hero, SingStar As Well]]> @The guiding blue: For starters, they have costumes! If that doesn't make you want to like a bad, then I don't know what will. Costumes! Look!!! :)

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on Turbonegro For Guitar Hero, SingStar As Well]]> D Mitsuki I disagree. Dressing like a clown (these guys and visual K bands) or a monster (Splitknot) to perform your music indicates a lack of faith in the music, to me anyway.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on Lunchtime With The Brothers Chap: Strong Bad's Creators Speak And Eat]]> @Mike Fahey: I would have enjoyed more info about the game, but it was a nice read. You typed "they're" as "their" though.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on PlayStation Store Update Raises Prices On PSP Downloadables]]> Yeah, raising rates is a pretty bad move. There's no way it will increase sales.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on Next Week On Rock Band: Not The Pixies]]> I'm glad to see The Offspring on there. Older stuff would be much better, but it's a start.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on Interview: Pachter Says Console Sales Still OK, But Expect Holiday Price Drops]]> Couldn't we have an official rebuttal to them calling us sexless? I'm sure many Kotaku users are uber-nerds, but there's also lots of cool gamers here.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on Cheeky PC Adventure Game Accused Of Grand Theft Assets]]> @Shoemaster: If you don't cite your sources, then you are committing plagiarism, which is a form of stealing, yes.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on The Incredible Hulk Review: The Beast Within]]> @karasu is my homeboy: The new movie looks great. Where do you get this zany opinion? If anything, they should be ashamed for the boring, poorly edited first movie with its 50-foot Hulk and totally lame enemies.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on PSP High Kicking Japanese Schoolgirl Game]]> If this turns out half-decent, I'm buying it. I love Ikkitousen's art.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented]]> Those little dudes are gonna get chomped.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on Possible Rock Band 2 Box Art, Release Date]]> @dowingba: There's nothing to get upset about. You can keep buying Rock Band songs and your Rock Band 1 disc isn't going to stop working now that 2 is coming out. However, if you want a bunch of new songs on a disc and some new features (such as the online world tour mode that we all expect), you'll have the option for $60.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on Haze Gets Bargain Binned]]> @Barbara: Don't say that. There's also a new Sonic game coming out this year. >:)

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on Kojima Productions Responds to MGS4 NDA Complaints]]> Pre-game installs are one thing, but between level installs are another. Man, those are some crazy load times. This whole embargo thing was always lame.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on Bomberman Wii Screens Are Simple, Joyous]]> @nbballard: Naa, this battle mode is not cross-compatible with Bomberman Land Wii. You'll notice that Land Wii had no online multiplayer.

@Volcan: I suppose, though friend codes are about than four times more inconvenient to enter than area codes. If I was unjustly sarcastic to Nick, then I apologize.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on Bomberman Wii Screens Are Simple, Joyous]]> @Quilt: There are well over 50 Bomberman games.

@BrotherNick: Anyone that likes putting friend codes in is either dumb or not smart. Which are you?

@in5ane: No need to console bash. This version may be superior to Bomberman Live - we'll find out when it releases.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on Bomberman Wii Screens Are Simple, Joyous]]> @Darkedge: Bomberman Live will surely trump this version in online communication and features, but this version has an actual single-player game and will probably be programmed much better. I doubt short-fusing and some of the imbalanced items will return...

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented]]> No, man hands are always bad on a female. Damn crappy character designer...

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on Bionic Commando Hands-On Impressions]]> @VonDante: That's funny, because most of us see Rearmed as way more of a sure thing than the new game. Rearmed does absolutely everything someone could want in a remake, and the soundtrack is fantastic to boot. The new game is very pretty but - as the article mentions - hasn't completely come together yet.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on First Resident Evil 5 Gameplay Impressions]]> @Mommar: If you think RE4's were bad, you should try Umbrella Chronicles' QT Events. They were downright broken, especially when playing 2-player. They sucked the life right out of certain portions of the game...

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on New Details On Street Fighter IV's Home Versions]]> Animated endings are a great idea. Bonus levels could be fun too. I'm glad they're putting real effort into the home versions.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on Anti-Feministing: Debunking The Argument Against GTA IV]]> Wow, that was a good read. Glad they had a reasonable female write the article.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on New Street Fighter IV Trailer]]> I was never a huge Faith No More fan, but they really matched the footage to the song very well. Even though the footage is old, this really gets me pumped for the game.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on EGM Refuse To Review MGS4 Because Konami Imposed "Limitations"]]> @Garo: You do realize that the "good" solution to that is to develop the game so that it does not require an installation, right? Much like a politician who doesn't want bad press for sleeping with hookers should avoid hiring hookers rather than trying to cover up his prostitution habits.

You're right that good and evil are relative, but as a consumer, things like this are pretty black-and-white.

@Aex: I don't think EGM agreeing to the embargo shows that they were okay with it and then changed their minds. The way they previewed the review copy of the game and held off on doing a final review seems like their original intention. They got to see the final game and discuss it prior to its release, but they just won't print a publisher-controlled review. I read their roundtable discussion and it seems more like a preview than a review to me, but I can see how you could consider it to be a review.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on EGM Refuse To Review MGS4 Because Konami Imposed "Limitations"]]> @Antiterra: Actually, they accepted the restrictions in order to gain early access to the game. I guess we'll find out the full list in time though.

]]>
<![CDATA[eastx commented on EGM Refuse To Review MGS4 Because Konami Imposed "Limitations"]]> @Cobra_Girl: Is trolling really necessary? Or are you just impossibly dense? If there's a good kind of fanboy, you're definitely the wrong one, dude.
