"Frankly non of the MGS titles have been worthy of 10's, but then not being a 10 doesn't mean a game is bad or won't be a phenomenon. I trust Eurogamer, probably more than most other sites, and I have to say that the criticisms of MGS are pretty much on par for the rest of the franchise.
