He's developed two games exclusively for Sony platforms so far. I'm sorry, but I don't see the comparison to Miyamoto at all or how they were Sony's "main guy."
Never. Ever. Buying a Bethesda game on launch, if at all, ever again.
I can deal with the occasional bug and glitch here and there. Understandable for a large game world like this. Obvious game-breaking bugs are bullshit. Releasing a game as broken as Skyrim is bullshit. Having us beta test their games for $60 is bullshit. Having us beta test their games for them to only release patches that break more shit (while hardly addressing any real pre-existing problems) is completely unacceptable in my eyes. I mean, are they fucking drunk when attempt to patch things? How the hell do you end up making dragons suddenly fly backwards and render resistances completely useless after a "patch"?
Such a shame that such talent and skill is wasted on crafting an excellent game like Skyrim when it's borked as hell. I mean, it's not New Vegas levels of broken, but that ain't saying much.
Never again, at least on a console. Maybe on PC after the game has been out for a year+ and the modding community has picked up the mess that Bethesda's QA team has left.
I have to respectfully disagree. While I didn't enjoy UC3 quite as much as UC2 and recognize there are some flaws, I still love the games. Call me after another two or so and maybe it'll be a different story, otherwise I love this franchise.
This doesn't bother me, in all honestly. I actually enjoy the multiplayer (flawed as it is, I still find it a blast to play with friends) enough to the point that I know I'd end up buying all this stuff anyway, including skins mostly for the gf.
I understand the argument that we don't really actually know EXACTLY what we're getting (yeah, skins and maps, but unseen), and that is a fair enough argument, I suppose. But I will put my trust in Naughty Dog, if not Sony, to treat it's fans right and that this will be an actual value for ME, someone who was planning on buying any maps, etc. that came out anyway. As for the quality of said unseen DLC, I have faith that Naughty Dog will put out quality.
I can understand people not going for this; not quite to the point of outrage, but still. For me though, I think it's a bit of a risk, but hey, I don't plan on doing this blindly with every game, every developer. If I didn't have enough faith in ND, I wouldn't bother. And if afterwards, I feel ripped off, well, ND will have lost my trust and then I will start boycotting such things. Otherwise, I don't have a problem with them doing this.
Psychonauts (PC - recent steam patch ftw... never finished it due to lack of a proper controller option) annnd Uncharted 3 Subway MP. Changed a lot of stuff from the beta, and I didn't like it at first but I'm warming up to it. It's still right addicting.
I have to disagree. This is more because the industry is dying than cleaning up continuity. If anything they're making continuity MORE confusing with the "reboot." The relaunch, if you will, is more about advertising and a somewhat desperate attempt to grab new readers, which of course, ultimately means more sales.
I'll have to get my girlfriend to listen to this and tell me what she thinks, as a pretty fluent Portuguese speaking Brazilian. That said, even from what I can tell, from what little I know and hearing her and her parents speak it, this does not sound great. You don't have to speak or understand the language tell when someone is just reading their lines, rather than acting them out.
I wonder - will they have an English dub with a Portuguese sub option? Not to familiar with how localizations tend to go. I realize not everyone loves reading subtitles and might prefer a (good) dub in their language, but at least it'd be a nice option, especially if the dub is going to be piss poor.
After reading Adam Glass' Flashpoint: Legion of Doom, I would not touch Suicide Squad with a 10 foot pole. It has got to be, without a doubt, one of the worst comics I have ever read... possibly ever. And I really wish I was exaggerating, because I was looking forward to Suicide Squad possibly/hopefully filling the void that Secret Six is leaving behind. Interviews with Glass about the book have not helped at all, either.
(lol, I replied to you before even reading the article. Looks like Stephen already pointed these things out too.)
With ya about I, Vampire likely getting canceled real quick, which is a shame because the issues I've read before the relaunch were good. Dunno about the Red Lanterns or Batwing. Red Hood I can see having at least some staying power. There are enough Jason Todd fangirls (and boys) out there.
I'm not too worried about GL. I mean, since JL is taking place 5 years I found Hal's characterization to be one of a cocky rookie. I have a feeling that will turn around after not too long... hopefully. Johns has been disappointing me a bit as of late, admittedly.
Can we have a "Complete" collection or some such thing like there was for GTAIV? I've held out on this game for a long time precisely to wait for something like that. (Having a pretty large backlog and limited funds makes it a bit easier.) I do that for a lot of games these days, that I know will have "Complete" or "GOTY" or "Ultimate" or whatever editions with all the DLC and stuff in them for a cheap price. Especially when the stuff all comes on a disc. Love it.
