So when the little man is being a douche, he's being opressed because a corporation is rightfully protecting its own IP? That's not David vs. Goliath, it's Douche vs. Game Makers. End of story.
I have tried it, and I argue that if Left4Dead can work well on a console (including having a 180-degree spin mapped to one of the buttons) then a CS port could work just as well.
Yes I do. I know what I'd be in for- I bought and played the Xbox version a lot after my laptop crapped out on me. Sure, nothing beats a mouse and keyboard, but I would still enjoy the hell out of it, moreso than most console online FPS games.
Look at Left4Dead, that's a great FPS developed by the same team, and it worked just fine.
Please say it's coming to consoles, PLEASE!!! I don't own a PC, and while I'm happy for those who do, I just want to play me sum CS godammit!! Why it wasn't included in the Orange Box I'll never understand...
They seem to go into fatcat mode every 5 years- they succeed wildly, make a killing, and get all greedy and stop listening to their consumers. Then they suffer the consequences, fight to win back their fanbase, and prevail by giving the fans what they want.
Wanna be neighbors? I always get sketched out getting friend requests for Cityville from potential identity thieves, but Kotaku certainly has a safer readerbase. Meanwhile, my neighbors who still play are dwindling...
That's exactly what (and why) my friends and I lovingly refer to it as. I do enjoy it though, and hopefully the new Sim City is a step up in the gameplay department.
Ueziel, man, I've been reading your comments on Kotaku for a long time now, and you are just such a nerd rager that rips on everything mainstream, and defends everything 'niche' to the point that it's infuriating sometimes.
I can understand people having different tastes when it comes to games, and I know that we have a lot of the same favorites (Beatmania, FF Tactics, etc.) but cool it on your hiigh-and-mightiness when it comes to what you consider okay for other people to enjoy.
Self-centered gamers who consider mainstream games as some sort of affront to the games you enjoy playing really piss me off. Not everybody likes or watches anime, and if they did, you'd turn around and hate on it because it's too mainstream. Get over yourself and stop acting so fucking self important.
@FeyerbrandX: I didn't get an error, but I didn't even see the offer like I expected to. I made a point of getting down to Gamestop as soon as they opened, drove home and plugged in the registration code, filled out the sruveys and then... nothing.
I live in California so the only explanations I can think are 1) They ran out before West Coast US game stores EVEN OPENED, or 2) there was some sort of glitch.
HELL YES. Maybe now XSeed will see fit to finally publish Retro Game Challenge 2 for DS!
For anyone who never played the first RGC- it's a love letter to 80s kids like myself who grew up playing NES and pouring over every issue of Nintendo Power. Go get it!!
I also miss the original anime art style from the original game's instruction manual. It was like a Studio Ghibli movie in my mind until they started revising it.
