well it was called FAMIly COMputer (famicom) but too bad it didnt come out would've been a neat thing to have. then again at that time I doubt it would of did anything to Commodore which was a giant in that industry of coco's
@calderon0311: oh an extremest view. but the problem was WoW not all games. but good luck with that i hear k-mart has a sell on helmets for ages 12 and under. they should be able to supply you with the correct gear you need. just pretend its a quest and you need to see the Sage of K in his magical mart to get the extra tiny helm of dee-da-dee.
@lostinseganet: yea your right. right now they are on the same destructive path that SEGA was once on. too high on themselves to see the errors they are making.
@Monteblanco: "I like the kindle's size and image sharpness. However, the iPad is more flexible as it doubles as an e-mail client, browser and gaming machine."
i like the e-ink sharpness also and now that word of a color version of the screen in the works i think it will really evolve in the future. And combining that with Sony E-Ink touch display would make it a great contender for the e-reader market. but i don't know about the e-mail client thing mostly all of these devices offer that feature to be honest. the only one that doesn't have a stand alone email client is the NDS i think. but you could always use web mail services i guess with the NDS web browser.
@Sian: not really its just a hurdle. ok you have a car alarm will that stop someone from stealing the car? not really it will just annoy the thief. your just banking on how lazy the thief is really not how safe your car is. and if he is not lazy well your getting jacked.
@Monteblanco: I find the contradiction of "versatile & not portable" funny also. I would think an iTouch or iPhone would be more suitable for the conditions you stated and would allow for use of your current software on the iPad.
I myself although prefer a different device for e-reading like a Nook, Kindle or Sony's E-book. They are much smaller and more versatile. Also again you could always use your smart phone or PDA type device and achieve the same function and requirements you need.
