"I think he's spot on. The IGDA is a wonderful idea, but only if people use it in the way intended. The messageboards are generally dormant, most SIGs rarely produce anything. Chapter meetups tend to just be just an excuse for a piss-up - which is fine, but with so many pressing issues in our industry, you'd think that there would be more people wanting to use the IGDA to push forward ideas to improve things. Hell, I'm not one to talk - I'm a paid up member and everything, but what have I done to actually make use of the IGDA?"

"There are plenty of games where the player can commit just as horrible non-sexual crimes, and no one seems to mind (outside of Keith Vaz and the Daily Mail crowd, of course). Throwing sex into the mix seems to unsettle a lot of people and get them reaching for their angry stick. This is not going to turn kids into rapists."
