Yeah, I used to love how fireworks would go off when I'd pull off a big trick. Or how crashing through billboards would get you to shortcuts. Seriously, I miss SSX a lot. Hopefully they bring back at least some of the zany elements from the past.
Could they at least include a little slip that has what each button does?
Especially with sports games, there are so many controls to remember. In fact, I think sports games are probably the games in which I use a manual the most. With all of the ways the joysticks are now used to pull off different moves, and how different button combinations allow for different types of passes, etc. there is so much more to remember. It's nice to have, at the very least, a little 2-3 page pamphlet at your side.
@RadioactiveToy: Maybe the physical copy could be the PS2 version? Since Ps2 doesn't have access to PSN, is still selling well, and is simply a DVD (aka, I'm assuming it wouldn't be expensive to manufacture) . . .
I love the LBP controls, and I'm a huge platform gamer. Something about the floatiness just fits the LBP world. Rigid jumping like Mario feels more right for a more blocky/rigid world . . . like Mario. With all of the swinging and grabbing of LBP, I dunno, the floaty controls and physics have always felt right to me and it didn't take long before I was able to be precise with them.
@Sharkey1337: When the GOTY edition was released, it was $60. It didn't drop to $30 until nearly two years after LBP came out.
So yes, he can wait for LBP2 to hit Greatest Hits, but he'll likely be waiting over a year. There's a lot of content that will come and go (in terms of being featured) in that time period.
@GluttonousGamer: You surround Fillion with other stars. It happens all the time. Look no further than the highest grossing film of all time to see that the lead actor doesn't need to be a superstar . . .
