<![CDATA[Comments from ShineyBlueShoes]]> <![CDATA[Comments from ShineyBlueShoes]]> <![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on Zero Punctuation Takes On Ctrl+Alt+Del]]> Even though I had little to no respect or love for Tim before this I still enjoyed the comic. Now it's like yay, awkward reading that is entirely out of place. It's great if you want to be more serious and all or do a serious story but this is like splicing a chapter of hamlet into a mad-libs book.

<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on Professor Layton, Hookers and Coke]]> That was oddly brilliant and well odd.

<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on Resident Evil Pachinko Shows More Than Jill Sandwiches]]> I actually have fond memories of this Ninja Turtles machine that was at the Chuck E Cheese, that thing was so fun.

<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on Happy Tree Friends, Ticket To Ride Hit XBLA Wednesday]]> OOO gotta get Ticket to Ride. Always heard great things about the PC rendition but could never find it.

<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on World Of Workcraft, The MMO For MMO Characters]]> That was quite priceless.

<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on Atlantica Online Beta Announced]]> I have no idea, it's the interwebs so we may never know.

]]>
<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on Atlantica Online Beta Announced]]> Hmm, am I missing something or are the spots gone already? All I see is an e-mail address entry and then it sends me an e-mail thanking me for my interest and telling me I'll get an e-mail if I'm selected.

<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on Guitar Hero DS Rises From The Grave To Feast On Flesh Of The Living]]> @NathanX: You're right, they should have put her in panties and glasses to play it.

]]>
<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on WoW Getting Level 30 Mounts]]> Ya know, I keep getting pangs to go back to WoW then they do something like this that just takes the game farther and farther from the one I really enjoyed.

]]>
<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on NPD's PC Sales Charts: May]]> I've got to say, I'm a PC gamer through and through and yet I find myself less and less interested in it anymore. All I tend to play on here anymore is TF2. The last three games I've tried to install off legit retail copies have refused to work because of the copy protection.

]]>
<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on And You Thought SL Was Bad - More Naughty Spore Creatures]]> WHY?!? Not why do they keep making these things, but why must I continue to click through to these things.

]]>
<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on Alrighty Kids, Pick The Best Snake Stache]]> A lot of them made me chuckle but I have to concur that PSP Stache gets my vote as well, by far the most creative.

]]>
<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on "DS Hardware Demand Has Now Peaked Globally, Software Downturn To Follow"]]> Well if this were accurate that would mean we're really going to be looking at another industry crash even if it's not as devastating as the one Atari caused. Think about how often we read about handfuls of developers and publishers all but abandoning the core market and shifting their business models over to embrace this. If and when this happens how much longer beyond that will those companies looking for the quick buck off shovelware continue to flood the market with it?

Considering that quick turn around in this industry really is in the year plus range this would do some real harm even without causing a real crash. Look at how many of these publishers won't take any risk as is, and when this safer lower cost methodology starts failing them I doubt anyone going to flock back to make multi-million dollar AAA PC hex-based strategy games.

]]>
<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on Powers & Titans Probably Announced For 360, PS3, PC]]> Well yes, combining Aquaman and The Flash would be pretty pointless... unless running a triathlon.

]]>
<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on Not So Good Voice Acting Explained!]]> Honestly I don't blame them unless they did the writing as well. Granted sure they'd still suck but what can you do with nonsense like that?

]]>
<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on Dawn of War II: New Screenshots]]> Reminds me of all the games of DoW I've played and ended up with screens where it's nothing but bodies after all the carnage.

]]>
<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on The Week in Games: Games of the Patriots]]> Deadliest Catch is at the top of my Gamefly list right now!

]]>
<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on D&D Readies Another Kind Of Online Roleplaying]]> I could see if being worth $5 a month or maybe a yearly $50 subscription if they follow through with the updates and tournaments and stuff to justify that cost. Of course that's a big if and this isn't even like an MMO where there's content you're paying for. That's all a separate purchase and then generated by the users.

]]>
<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on Dawn Of War II Gameplay Footage]]> I'm excited for this but the timing couldn't be any worse I don't think. Really hard to imagine a time frame that SC2 won't totally make all other RTS entries and after thought. Maybe if this gets pushed into very late 09 or early 2010 and SC2 is out in like October there will be some mind share left for it. Just don't want to see this get forgotten about.

Anyone else notice though how awkward it is to say like 2010, 2011, etc.? Hope someone comes up with a better way to say those years since I can't think of one. Unless we're all going to walk around talking about that great summer we had back in ten.

]]>
<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on Why My GRID Review Is Late]]> Man like reading about me and RTS games. Love them so much but I'm so awful and can never get the hang of them.

]]>
<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on Crysis Warhead Is Certainly Something]]> Oooo, oooo I know! It's their "good reason" for cancelling the patch because whatever this is will make them money where the patch doesn't!

]]>
<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on Crytek Get All Mysterious Over Future Crysis Support]]> So much for making this game that would last for several years.

]]>
<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on Come Back To EverQuest, Play For Free]]> Not that I have time for this in between Age of Conan and WoW, not to mention everything else that isn't second through eigth jobs, but two months free is good enough I'm downloading it now.

@Fudce: As far as PVP goes at least so far it's there if you want it but hardly mandatory. Playing on a PVP server (which the norm is FFA) I only have 20 total kills/killed so far on my main. Now how that'll turn out the road we'll see since it's all kind of up in the air what we're doing once we're all 80. Though every MMO is like that when it comes out.

I will say though that I wish I could run it better, but even on low the game still looks pretty darn good.

<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on Warhammer Online Crafting Exhaustively Explained]]> Sounds good and all, but from the way he's talking it's still recipe based just we don't get to see the recipes.

<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on MSU's 'Meaningful Play' Call for Papers]]> It's great to see a school that I genuinely love actually approaching something like this in a way other then "ZOMG we're old and games be bad!!1!"

]]>
<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on Age Of Conan Is Funcom's Smoothest MMO Launch Ever]]> Amen, except every time I quit I keep going back. This will probably turn into more of the same but at least off the bat it'll be a new world to explore.

<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on Age Of Conan Is Funcom's Smoothest MMO Launch Ever]]> I was going to wait until things were more stable I was... But now I'm going to pick it up when I get off work tonight.

<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on SAGA MMORTS Free From FileFront]]> I think I tried this a while ago when it was in beta or something and it was pretty meh. Of course that's not stopping me from downloading it as we speak.

]]>
<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on Apparently, Rockstar's "Kept Quiet" On GTA IV]]> Notice too that like ATG said most of it's been created by us, not forced upon us.

]]>
<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on Apparently, Rockstar's "Kept Quiet" On GTA IV]]> Honestly I do think it's been relatively low key. The main factor in that is that it's all relative. When you're talking a game that's going to sell as many as it is and is as big as it is they would have been well justified going well over Halo 3 hype. Yet all things considered this has been more enjoyable then just crushing.

]]>
<![CDATA[ShineyBlueShoes commented on StarCraft Board Game Demo]]> Ya know if you have that much time and money to spend on board games wouldn't you just start playing Warhammer or something?
