Mine is perfectly fine so I must have gotten a good one. No light leaks or poor build quality. The main issue I have right now is the 30fps cap they need to fix ASAP.
@Adam Barenblat: So Owen let me tell you a little more about what happened at my first E3 :) People who snore are usually the nicest people and of course I was an intern at the time at Kotaku so I didn't want to stir anything up or hurt Fahey in any way. Right around the second day of no sleep, I finally managed to figure out how to tell Brian that I needed to find another room arrangement. I ended up sleeping on the floor in Noah Robischon's room who was the Managing Editor of Gawker at the time. I also got to know Noah pretty well and now am about to go work for him at FastCompany in NYC. Either way, everything turned out great and no hard feelings to Fahey. The bottom line is this, get as much sleep as you can, when you can. You'll love your first E3, it's quite a ride, but you're going to be on your feet most of the day and then writing most of the night.
@Drakulakun: a Pink Floyd RB would just be so great, but the problem I see is with the sound synthesizer experimentation and downtime in some of the songs, putting full albums in a Rock Band format would just be impractical. The thing is, if you are going to make a Pink Floyd Rock Band, you have to do the music justice and breaking songs apart, like just "Money" from Dark Side of the Moon ruins the experience IMO.
This just brings back memories of early teen birthday parties at Lazer Quest. I've been wishing we had a local laser tag place around here in Colorado for years.
Wow, that is all I can say. I'm really sorry you had to deal with that Crecente and Bash, especially so late at night. Mother's sounds like a good place, so enjoy. I wish I could be there!
oh god yes, seriously, Hydro Thunder was one of my favorite arcade games back in the day along with Daytona USA. A sequel, if even in spiritual form is most welcome!
