@Dwight-K-Schrute: Cant be as bad as getting bitten by the M1 though... Man was that a good lesson to be learned. Never again will be lax with hand placement of holding the charging handle in place when I depress in the new clip.
So no kidding you dont really have an issue with the safety then? You are about 2 inches taller than I am.
@BubbleF**kingBuddy: Actually its Monster Hunter G and Monster Hunter Frontier are also on the list of ones that didnt make it to the US. So thats 3 in total
@xot: Forgot what ammo was firing through my FAL back in the US last year but at times when the casings ejected they would get stuck lip first into the post next to me at the range.
Good times.
For us most of the time if we did have crap ammo it would just cause jams with the casing not ejecting properly. Though this was with the IMI .44 mag. Never liked that pistol anyways.
But yeah do agree with you that depending on the ammo brass does fly differently.
@Bastille: I thought it was a iron? Id have to check my inventory been a while since Ive played the game. But do remember Nephi having something but didnt notice it till I walked up to the body since shot em from a distance.
@The Anti-Fanboy: From a person who has a lot of friends that used to be mappers, some who still are in the gaming industry. I must say that these maps are quite good in regards to having all sorts of cross connecting points of view that make it difficult to camp anywhere safely. Asides from a few locations.
Its much better than their previous work in WaW and they obviously studied hard to create the proper flow that we have in the maps now.
Maps that make "paths" as you describe it are stupid due to the fact that they just become pointless meat grinder routes and is not exactly the best thing to put into MP games as they turn out to piss off the players more than anything.
Having multiple routes that intersect by far is a better way to give players more options in multiplayer maps, than just a few obvious choices that will turn more into stalemates once one side decides to bunker down blocking said route.
Each map has its own style to it and you cant expect them all to play the same. Such as the comment mentioned above with Jungle, that map it even says in the description is meant to be a long stretch type of map which creates firefights down those areas. Though seems like most occur in the burnt out village side as nobody wants to be caught with their pants down making a rush through the riverbed getting shot at from above.
At least these maps are not a campers paradise as they were with MW2. Now that game had some serious issues with flow and angles of attack. Which is odd since IW did such a bang up job with the original MW MP maps.
@Archaotic: Another thing square needs to stop doing is putting fucking stupid prices in regards to their titles.
Sure people will pay it, but just imagine how many more will be willing to pay it if you drop it a bit.
The price of FF13 and FF14 were 2 hilarious examples. FF14 rubbed people even more so the wrong way considering the fact you have to pay an online fee too. The other thing both games have in common was the massive stacks of it sitting around going nowhere.
Hell even Front Mission Evolved was priced high. If they really wanted people to take the chance on it they should have thought up a more decent price such as 5000-5500 yen regardless of what it costed them to make the game.
Then again too little too late for that considering everyone knows that the game isnt worth buying at full price.
Its interesting seeing other companies starting to understand this and trying to figure out ways to lower the price of their own games. Hell was surprised to see Bandai Namco go this route with the pricing of God Eater, since that was affordable.
Even the price of Monster Hunter Portable 3 is in the low-mid 5000 range considering capcom knows they could have charged more for it and people would have bought it anyways.
Konami too did a good thing with having the price of MGS:PW being low also. So the curious could pick it up without having to stand there worrying about the price.
@Archaotic: Actually Quest was bought out after the Ogre Battle series was made. So it was made when it was not yet a part of Square.
I could have sworn that Quest worked together with Enix in the past.
About the PSP version its still the responsibility of Square to tell whoever was in charge of the project to get the shit straight or not release it at all. Since it was pretty bad and which is why my copy hasnt been back in the PSP since. Then again seeing what their mentality is these days with their own products its no wonder why some really go south.
Proof of the pudding is their financial statement.
Lets just hope that it lights a fire under the asses of the folks who matter so actual quality starts to come out from the company again.
One thing for sure is that they must have done quite well with the SQEX store limited edition of the game since that thing sold out FAST with the pre-orders.
The standard special version still can be found but the SQEX LE one is long gone. Too bad I had procrastinated with bothering to do a reservation for it. Then again the last thing I need is more crap that will just get shoved into storage and take up space. But it was really nice what came with it.
@Archaotic: Actually we both should be more grateful that enix actually took the time to make the product good. Unlike Square which screwed up their own FF Tactics PSP release with slowdown and poor loading times.
Its due to the overall quality of the product that it sold well. I can quite imagine if it had the same problems as FFT Portable it would not have been doing so well once word hit 2ch and the other blogs of various folks.
It was just different from the SNES version in regards to 64, though I found it to be harder than the SNES one. But was great trying to find all the secrets and getting all the units unlocked. Though that really screws with ones chaos flame...
Im sad that they have not decided to re-make or re-release that game on the PSP. Since there still are a lot of fans of that series.
I guess the downside was the fact that the story wasnt as deep as the Tactics Ogre series.
Still would be nice if they brought it back on the PSP in both physical / digital.
In other news Im pretty sure that the new Parasite Eve will bomb. Seeing how Square is trying to get people to bust their nuts over the fact that Aya has all sorts of costumes more than showing off more game play and features. Plus the game play that has been shown wasnt all that impressive in terms of how the game seems to play, let alone the environments themselves.
Lord of Arcana bombed hard and well deserved since that game was ABYSMAL and I rarely say that about games. Im not going to call it a Monster Hunter clone since thats not what it was, but more an action RPG yet that just half-assed everything in terms of the game itself.
I so hope that Enix considers breaking off from Square again since truthfully Square is a dead weight in a deep ocean. Gotta let those bastards sink a bit before they remember how to swim I say. Granted that isnt going to happen but Im sure Enix is thinking the same thing.
Its funny the games sales didnt really start taking off till folks found out that it plays really well as a re-make and no problems in terms of loading or slowdown. After that it started selling out at locations that had it at a decent price.
