You know that sounds just like a 70's band, "Ladies and Gentlemen tonight live at the Tampa Bowl for one night only... Lynyrd Skynyrd and their good friends Gnarly Swamp Ass!!!"
URRgh! I listen to the radio commentary as I don't own a TV, if you think the TV commentators are bad you should try listening to the Radio,Graham Taylor and Steven Froggat,(why the hell he is on I have know idea, less than 200 matches in ten years and most of them at crappy teams and no managerial experience) are the worst of a bad bunch. It would be nice if the BBC didn't also have Lawro a pundit who year after year has Liverpool running away with the league no matter what their form or the results of other team are.
Well quite apart from differing pricing structures in different countries some of us have other responsibilities and circumstances in our lives that mean that a £40 game,(the RRP for a 3DS game which equates to around $65-ish) is a luxury item and whilst it might not seem expensive to you there are plenty of people who wouldn't want to spend that sort of cash on a game you couldn't re-start with a fresh save.
This doesn't only affect people who buy used games, but people who rent games to "try before they buy" and people who buy an expensive game and want to play through it more than once.
Another show cut short but I really did enjoy, same sort of dark sarcastic humour at times as Party Down and with quite a few of the same cast.
I didn't even know it was cancelled,(I should have guessed as I rather liked it) I would love to ease my pain by re-watching Veronica Mars but it wasn't released here.
(sigh) Some of us in the U.K. never bloody cared about her or the useless scumsucking benighted family she married into.
If you have a wii you really should get the wii version of RE4 it is one of my favourite games,(I'm toying with replaying again at the mo) and the wii version is by far the best version. Using the pointer to aim really improves the game and it comes with both a mercenaries mode and a short but fun to play extra-story.
I use a rental scheme to rent DVD's,wii and DS/3DS games, it's a handy way of trying out games that you normally wouldn't think about paying for. But if I do find something that I really like I try to buy a copy. Without rentals or friends lending games to each other I am sure that my circle of friends wouldn't spend anywhere near what we do now. At the moment I am playing the 3DS version of Zelda (highly recommended by the way, the 3d is stunning and really adds to the game), it will then be played by my partner and probably my daughter. We would never have bought it and we definitely would not have bought 3 copies one for each of us.
I was interested in this game but I'm buggered if I am going to give capcom my money after what they have tried to pull here.
@TheRevanchist2:

Oh I can't tell you how glad I am to hear somebody else say that. Having taught children for many years I saw just how a stupid spur of the moment choice from a parent can blight a child's life. I've seen children stuck with a name that might mean something at the moment but would become nothing more than a throwback to some long forgotten piece of pop culture.
Something nice and simple,(no obscure spellings that will give the poor thing a life of "NO it's blahdeblah not the usual way that everybody spells that name") that can be shortened when necessary is ideal.
@JesusChrist:

So not a holy ghost type fan?
Shirley it is more like Commando? The arcade game by Capcom(?) from the mid-eighties that was ported onto a crapload of various home systems.
Have you ever watched the Portugal or Bulgaria matches from the 1966 world cup? They are well worth watching even if it is just for the horror. Maradona made a lot of tackles seem a lot worse by his apparent inability to stand on his own two feet in the presence of an opposing defender,I know I know it's old fashioned and totally out of date but I still view diving as cheating and wish it was stamped down on harder than a Nobby Stiles tackle ;-). I think part of my picking Pele over Maradona is the length of his career and how he managed to still be impressive in it's later stages, a sign of a good footballer that has vision of the game.
There is no maybe about it, he did take drugs, he was caught on more than one occasion and has even admitted it himself.The cocaine perhaps not,(although I'll bet it did wonders for his stamina) but the ephedrine definitely did, they are banned for good reason by sporting bodies not just for the health aspects, but because they give an unfair advantage. He was using drugs from the early 80's so it's a definite possibility he was using other stuff like steroids etc.
@Dudeydude:

Having seen both play I would definitely go for Pele. As I said in a different post Maradona was a drug addled cheat, he cheated both on and off the pitch to aid his playing.
Pele also had to play in a time period where it was much much harder to be a talented striker, two footed sliding crunching tackles from behind were considered part of the game. Just watching the Portugal match where he suffered his injury and had to keep playing,(this was in the days before subs) still makes me wince even after all this time.
@Soulgain:

Oh hell no, Best was a spoiled brat who threw away his life and career (along with a donor liver) and Maradona was a drug addled scumbag cheat.
@adgeman:
If that is truly the case you have missed out on some wonderful little games that may not be "mainstream", not that being mainstream is necessarily a bad thing. It only becomes so when gamers play nothing but those games and will ignore something that is a little different, a little quirky because of the platform it is released on or that all they want is the latest big name.
You have no idea of how I care for my stuff, my N64 is at this moment in a sealed plastic container along with the games all still in their original cardboard boxes. I still have the first games console I ever owned from the 1970's which is still in perfect working condition. So yes I do look after my things well. I would talk about my gameboy colour but even a terribly treated GB would survive a nuclear holocaust.
Anecdotal evidence is never worthwhile evidence, I could quite easily counter yours with the thousands of hours of playtime that my N64 or Saky's N64 had. One person is never a good sample size and when you look at a broader set of people, you will quickly find that there is a well known reliability issue. It is very hard to get hold of an official Nintendo controller,(which were by far the best available) because it has been years since they made them and the controllers that were used and are now for sale second hand tend to have the same problem. I have often wondered about buying replacement sticks but I am rather worried about opening up my remaining controllers and possible screwing them totally.
He is correct, I take extremely good care of my stuff and I have had trouble with my N64 sticks as well, it's such a shame, we didn't play Mario Party but would still be playing Perfect Dark if they were still usable.. It is a well known problem that they wore out and it is very hard finding a second hand one that doesn't have the same problem. Try googling replacement N64 joysticks and remember before being such a total arse to somebody else like you were to Saky, anecdotal evidence is no evidence at all, just because you had no problems doesn't mean that everybody else had them survive without a problem.
@nan0werx:

I've heard that Nintendo are giving away a free copy of ExciteTractor 3D for the next 3DS update in the bible belt region.
