HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

<3 This so hard.

This man is 100% spot on and I was fool for thinking otherwise. These opinion pieces are in fact so true that they should change the namee of them to "fact pieces". I mean, in any of these rebuttals not one dissenting opinion has ever had any merrit and really should have never been written down. The author should have just written it better. That's also not a fault of the Chief Editor for approving such articles and not noticing any discrepencies.

There. Am I doing it right Mr. Totilo?

[finance.yahoo.com]

I'll just leave this here for all the blackout cinics. That is if you can read me in my greyed out text. Yes, I am bitter for getting destarred for basically criticizing bannings.

That's an interesting stance to take. Especially when you consider how easily Kotaku could be blocked if and when SOPA or PIPA were to pass. So, by choosing to not take a day a of protest in blocking your site you're sending the message that you're ok with letting the government block the site in the future under their own volition and effectively removing your ability to practice such objectivity.

In short: your reasoning is predicated on the assumption that you are guarunteed the freedom to cover gaming culture with objectivity and share it with the rest of the world. These bills constitute a direct threat to remove such freedoms.

You don't have the privilege of objectivity in this matter. It directly affects this site whether you choose to acknowledge it or not.

Hahahaha OMG. I can't stop laughing now after reading this and seeing the most moderation I've seen on a Kotaku thread in a long ass time. You're pushing these poorly thought out articles on to your readership and now slamming them over the head with a hammer for not liking it. Am I going to lose my star now for stating my opinion? Why don't you guys just douse your servers in gasoline and then light them on fire? It's about as productive as this bullshit.

Stay classy Kotaku.

But don't you see? Kotaku already did that with "Kotaku Core" or "Kotaku Kid's Table" or "Kotaku, whiner's edition. Because the Kotaku you once loved is gone bitch. Get over it."
Welcome to the "new" "progressive" Kotaku where we look to push forward in a brave new world of gaming by grasping at straws and creating issues where there aren't any.
No one likes to think about a problem like this, especially when they're not doing anything to actively contribute to it. And especially less when they're talked down to and presented with only two options: "Agree with me that you're a terrible, terrible person." or "Deny that you're a terrible person and and just prove to me what an idiot you are."

This type of article and the way that it is written only edifies the writer.

Which is sad since he touches on such on important topic and makes many good points. Maybe he should try approaching the reader on a more even playing field rather than talking down to them from some ivory tower.

This.

So much this.

It's all about the page hits, baby!!

I'm saying that addressing his audience in such a general and patronizing way is a waste of time.

Also, kudos for assuming that I have no idea what the main tennants of feminism are based on one post alone.

Oh and saying something isn't an insult, doesn't make it not an insult, or you any less rude.

I'm glad we disagree with this^ article then which states that it is our duty to speak up and step up for women when other men are douche bags. The article has relevance as it was referenced earlier in the week in another kotaku article.

Also, this article (the one in which we are now commenting on) is all about him (the author), addressing the audience in a VERY general way and trying to change how we act. He is making the assumption that we need to be taught how to act. I take offense to that assumption.

And I take issue with the assumption that I do behave in such a way.
Hypocrisy: Pointing out how wrong "White Knighting" is because we should be treating women just like men.

Then.

Saying how we men should do something to make sure every man out there treats women right, because they (women) shouldn't be expected to do it themselves.

I WILL NOT appologize for the gender or race I was born in to and I WILL NOT tolerate being treated like I'm some sort of racist/sexist bigot because I don't beat up every racist/sexist bigot out there. I know that's a waste of time, I wish you knew the same, because treating your audience like they're already guilty of being ignorant assholes is a sure fire way to be ignored and waste of your time.

I hope the page hits was worth pissing off half of your audience Kotaku, now leave this trashy GAWKER bullshit behind.

Oh wait, I'll wait for the next cosplay pics!

It's all about the benjamins baby!!!

Same here. Piling on people way after the whistle was part of the fun of the game and done almost every time. Same with early hits. I would take out receivers before the ball would get to them. Lockdown defense baby!

The sad thing though is that the game is so cartoonish, it doesn't make sense. It's like asking to take the anvils and ACME explosions out of Looney Toons.

Oh wait...

Sometimes I really hate modern America.
And their fans let us play it how it should be played.
I'd like to play this game on the Wii U. Hopefully they'll make that possible in the future. As it stands Nintendo doesn't want you to play the game in all its beauty.
A brief look at a world that Nintendo tries hard to never bring you.
Do you mean in its open style or the way in which you choose your class and level?
Hey, Epic, video games aren't the first medium to have to deal with second hand stores. Why don't you stop making excuses and just learn to make a better product that lasts longer without screwing the consumer? You know, the same thing EVERY OTHER INDUSTRY IN EXISTENCE has learned to do.

Sincerely, the very people you make a living off of.
