<![CDATA[Comments from TearsandScreams]]> <![CDATA[Comments from TearsandScreams]]> <![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on SEGA's President Casually Mentions Resident Evil 5's Wii Release]]> @crazyorloco: Yeah seems that's all most people care about these days :(

<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on Dragon Age: Origins Gameplay: Our E3 Preview In Just Three Minutes]]> @niindre: Your Wild West idea is brilliant, I love it. I don't think it'd sell well at all, just can't see there being a market for compared to this kind of thing. But prove me wrong please, if you're in any kind of position to get that made, designed or anything. And then I'll buy a lifetime subscription guaranteed. I would also say in this game's defence, whilst the setting may be somewhat familiar, Bioware will use the story to create something of their own. And if it's based on Dungeons & Dragons (I have no clue whether it is or not, kind of hoping so) then this kind of world is the order of the day.

<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on The E3 No Shows: Why They Weren't There]]> @Cutedge: Isn't that still in development hell? I remember reading about it having basically been almost scrapped and started again. I remember a particular preview in Edge over a year ago making me excited for it, and since then all I've read has been doom and gloom :(
@warxsnake: Yeah, where the hell was Mafia 2?

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on Wheelman Hands On Impressions For The Vin]]> @lumpi: They're right, it's awesome. And all the more reason not to dismiss this one. I loved that game.

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on CNBC's Jane Wells - Sony Is Winning, My Son Says So]]> @spinal77: It might suit your needs best, and it's my console of choice this gen (too poor to buy the lot) but it's not the best 'period' at all. It's opinion, nothing more. And in the interests of balance, as I did this earlier to someone doing what you're doing to the PS3 (and felt a bit mean about it) STOP DOING MICROSOFT'S PR JOB!

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on User-Created LittleBigPlanet Content To Launch Free]]> That's fantastic if true. I can't see this being anything but brilliant, and the main reason I'll have PS3 envy this year (though not the only one).

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on CNBC's Jane Wells - Sony Is Winning, My Son Says So]]> @Mongoosekun: Aww...fanboys. How cute. Seriously, you're a twat for being like that over any of the consoles. But I'm sure Sony really appreciate you doing the job of their PR Department. See if you were here saying "This game is awesome, it's on PS3, you should buy it" that's constructive. But that...I mean what is it? I just don't get why people can be arsed defending a console, it's like slagging off a DVD Player. Films/Games etc, fine. But consoles? They're fucking machines. (NB: NOT machines you fuck with).

On topic though, that is fairly stupid logic. But don't be surprised when her prediction turns out to be (semi-true) and the PS3 gets it's second place after Wii. How Microsoft think they'll outsell Sony I'm not sure. Not over the lifetime of the machines anyway, too much ground has already been caught up considering the difference. I don't see why it matters, they've dented a market significantly enough to sell a lot of machines, 2nd/3rd etc. There's no way the PSP will outsell the DS overall, but it's doing quite nicely, and it doesn't matter if it doesn't come first.

<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on Silent Hill: Homecoming Hands On With The Pipemaster]]> @Wolf_Dog: See I love the story in Silent Hill 2 and it is my favourite, but I've really enjoyed all of them, including Origins and The Room. So I'm not entirely sure I'll hate this. 2 is the only one that's had a great story, but I still want to remain cautiously optimistic. And although the Pyramid Head thing is irksome, I'm damn sure there are bigger plot holes in most of the games than that (and I'm sure some people could find them in 2, and break my heart).

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on Shane Kim Explains the 360 Menu Redesign]]> Imagine if Sony released their entire psx library at say $5 a game. That'd make me a convert. He has a point in terms of the library at the moment (arcade vs psn) but I'm sure that gap will become non existent soon, and then it'll all be a matter of preference. I just can't see it making sense for Sony not to fully fledge the psn. But that being said, I do loves the arcade. And the way he put it, before everyone goes MENTAL is the way he's paid to. He's defending the company that pays his wages. We don't get paid to defend them, yet oddly enough people will die on their swords to defend their consoles. Silly people. Because then they can't play them.

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on Kaz Wants Lifetime PS3 Sales To Beat Lifetime PS2 Sales]]> Never going to happen in my opinion. The PS2 is one of the greatest consoles ever, on par with Dreamcast for library (just with a higher shit to good ratio due to the sheer hugeness of the library). I don't think anything this generation has come close to touching it personally.

<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on Game Club Beyond Good & Evil: Assignment Two]]> @erlik: You in the UK? or Europe? If so you're like me, shit out of luck. It's U.S. only sadly :(

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on Red Alert 3 Art Team Gets A Gold Star]]> @Marasai: I disagree, I think it's fun and emphasises more what Command & Conquer is about than the man staring at the 4th wall art. It's always been a silly but awesome game.

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on Dead Rising Wii Screens: Where Did All The Zombies Go?]]> @Ashurahori: if that's true...then good idea! Yeah I could definitely see something like that work. I mean it was obvious it would need adapting, and that seems a fairly sensible route to go. At this stage it's crazy to write the game off.

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on Zero Punctuation On Edward Carnby And Not Being Alone In The Dark]]> I thought it was a very funny review, and I really enjoyed Alone In the Dark.

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on Killing A Dead Space Boss]]> Yay another promising horror game. One of my favouritest genres :D I hope it captures the whole tension/fear thing of Aliens. If Silent Hill turns out to be good as well I shall be as delighted as 'Delightful Delia'.

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on Operation Flashpoint 2 Is Going To Be Huge]]> I can't believe we're finally getting a sequel! Thank you...sniff.

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on Yup, You're Getting Eternal Sonata On The PS3]]> I thought this was a great game, really enjoyed it.I don't mind the extra content being on the PS3, I've enjoyed the game for what it is and I hope more people do the same.

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on What Are You Playing This Weekend?]]> A bit of classic Dreamcasting for me, some more Witcher, Final Fantasy VII (got to start somewhere), and being jealous of all you lucky Americans who get to see The Dark Knight before me.

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on Dead Space Producer Chuck Beaver Talks Survival Horror In Halo's Era]]> @Nightshift Nurse: Mile High Colonic: That's some fine games you just namechecked. Haunting Ground is one of my favourite games, and I find it sad how few horror games take the 'survival' route now and go all guns blazing. You had NOTHING in that game, you had to run nearly all the time, and it was bloody terrifying.

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on LocoRoco 2, Resistance: Retribution Among New PSP Titles]]> @ultimate920: stuff like this can work well on PSP. Syphon Filter worked really well. So did Killzone, but that went for a whole different angle. These are good times to have a PSP.

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on Metallica DLC Is Entire Metallica Album]]> I haven't liked a post 90s Metallica album, to the point that when they're on at Reading I'll be watching CSS, but the idea of this is cool, wish more bands would do it.

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on PSP: 10 Million Sold (In Japan)]]> @fuchikoma: Indeed, I've been saying the same thing. The fact they've made a serious dent into the handheld market is achievement enough. And the Dreamcast thing would indeed make it a gift from the gaming gods. We've had Powerstone and Crazy Taxi, we want more!

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on Is Final Fantasy XIII Xbox 360 Coming To Japan? "Ask Them"]]> I love the way this generation is infuriating fanboys of all consoles. I swear it was easier to just buy your choice of Mega Drive/Snes and just swap with the guy who had the other every now and then. Sounds like hippyish times in these days of hatred, where every game is a weapon to add to the artillery of the Fanboy Army.

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on Liveblogging Microsoft e3 2008 Press Conference]]> My goodness. I wouldn't have predicted that.

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on Xbox Live Reinvented This Fall - Adds Avatars, Live Party]]> @cxplorer: They haven't got much to go on in all fairness. It doesn't exist yet as a thing people can use. I'd say they'd copied the Wii a fair bit more. I'm all for copying normally, but not so sure here. If the whole 'it's optional' thing I read is true, that's excellent news. Because it doesn't affect anyone who doesn't want it.

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on Netflix Partners With Microsoft]]> @Greendomo: Because of course anything not HD is redundant. Asshat. I imagine it wouldn't make the streaming as accessible to those with fairly low speed internet. I'm still watching standard def DVDs and I can't say it upsets me too much. I still get to watch the same film as the rest of you I just paid a fuckton less for my copy.

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on Liveblogging Microsoft e3 2008 Press Conference]]> Karaoke game from your collection=perfect. That should make any future karaoke collection/DLC redundant. And I welcome it.

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on Liveblogging Microsoft e3 2008 Press Conference]]> Haha wow, I'm not moving until this is over, even if that means living here forever. In my chair.

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on Patapon 2 Screens]]> Pon Pon Patapon! I loves this game.

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on Dragon Age: Origins: Whither Hast I Seen Thith Before?]]> @Murdoc: You're dismissing this game on the video alone? If it even begins to live up to that 'spiritual successor' claim it's going to be excellent. I could show you a fair few scenes in Baldur's Gate that would be as embarassing even for the time, and yet it's still absolutely brilliant.

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on Jade's Next Game - I Am Alive]]> Good god, this is carnage. I hope this is good, survival horror being my personal favourite genre but I hated the previous Alone In the Dark (not the new one, it's ace). So I'll just keep hoping.

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on Rare Denies X-Waggle Rumor, Chastises Kotaku Comments]]> Oh dear, I've lost my Kotaku bets if this is true. Ah well as long as Banjo is great.

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on First Look At Half-Life 2: Episode Three]]> I can't wait. One of my favourite games of all time. And I'm all too happy for Half Life 2 to be milked when the milk tastes this good.

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on LocoRoco 2 Screens]]> This is fantastic news, the first game is one of my favourites. I really can't wait to play this.

@nautnaut: I think you're thinking of Patapon, albeit another excellent game.

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on Hey, You Got Stephen Fry In My Fable 2]]> Excellent news, the guy is a national treasure, and I'll never get tired of hearing/seeing him in anything.

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on What Are You Playing This Weekend?]]> Alone In the Dark/GTA IV/Burnout Paradise and The Witcher. I'll be a busy bee.

<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on Second Easy Question For Easy Win An Xbox 360 Contest]]> That is such a nice console, and Alone in the Dark is surprisingly great actually. Really enjoying it so far.

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on This Wii Hard Drive Is So Damn Phony (And Funny)]]> Hahaha that's quite cute that someone bothered to make such an awful fake.

]]>
<![CDATA[TearsandScreams commented on Don't Hate On Doom III, It Made Money]]> It's not a terrible game by any means, it's become too cool to bash it now. I enjoyed it, and whilst it didn't give me the same sense of awe that Doom did originally, it had it's moments. It's staying in my collection for the forseeable future anyhow.
