It's ok. We're here for you.
It's a bug that I've been talking to tech today about getting resolved. I'm sorry it's not fixed yet.
You're making me angrier! But I appreciate your expertise.
I'm happy to see you're getting in the spirit of our anger hour!

The arrows are meant to make it easy to find the start of our programming blocks. They are well under an inch tall on my monitor, in traditional view, so I don't consider them much of a bother. I believe they help more than they hurt.

And, for the record, we're blatantly trying to get you to read all of our stories. But we don't expect you to find them all interesting.

Questionable Words With Friends

February 17, 2012 – I sometimes play Words With Friends, and I play it the way I play Scrabble: using words that a) I know and that b) I'm sure are words normal people would use. I don't use wacky words (which isn't to say any word I don't know is "wacky"—in some cases I'm the ignorant problem). But Scrabble... More »

I was referring to the fact that you don't drive it.
I was told a fix should have kicked in or is about to. Can you let me know if it's still busted? Or is it working now?
Slurs are a no-no around here.
It's hard to say where to draw the line between encouraging people to express themselves freely here and disinviting commenters who express certain points of view. It's an easy call to, say, ban a racist. I was less sure what to do about your comment, because I vehemently disagree with you that homosexuality is "wrong", I know that many people feel that way.

That said, I'm drawing a line. Not a ban, but at least a cornfielding. #cornfield

Thanks, Odin. I'll go bug our tech people.
Yikes! I don't know. I thought you were a crazy person.
Where'd you get the idea that I don't know much about gaming pre-2000? Are you saying I've blacked out the 14 or so years before that that I spent playing video games?
We must free ourselves from the grip of nostalgia! But, yeah, this was tongue-in-cheek. I'm sure I enjoyed a lot of bad games when I was younger, and I'm sure I'll look back on the games I play today with the same mixture of fond appreciation and time-wasted regret a decade from now.

We Asked The Red Carpet: Were Old Video Games Actually Bad? Or Good?

February 16, 2012 – I have a nearly irrational dislike for retro video games. I assume most of the old "classics" wasted my youth with their needlessly bottomless pits and/or a hunger for my quarters. Do old video games deserve my scorn? More »

They’re Sending Copies of Mass Effect 3 Into Space Next Week

February 16, 2012 – The people behind Mass Effect 3 will hoist copies of the sci-fi game into space via weather balloons next week. Gamers in Berlin, Las Vegas, London, New York, Paris and San Francisco can track (via MassEffect.com), catch and play them.

I have never used "we're a blog" as an excuse. Not once. I'm unaware of anyone else who works at Kotaku having used it in the three years I've been here. If they have, they will no longer. It's a meaningless excuse and an intolerable one on this site. Even if Kotaku was a blog--whatever that means--that would not be an excuse for shoddy work.
I'm politically opposed to your lack of paragraph breaks. What happened?
We know you're a Democrat. You lost in '88!
