And what does being put on top of the leader boards in the stock market do, outside of give you the money to buy a quick ticket to Hell?
I think it should be called the XBOX Iniquitous. Why not truth in advertising? And yes, I am still bitter over having 10+ 360s break on me because MS put being first -- and generic -- over being right and moral.
MGS4 is excellent. The online? I didn't try it as Konami pulled an EA and made you sign up for a separate account to play the game online.
Okay. This is my first entry. I'm sure I did every single thing wrong, but I tried. Enjoy (if it works at all)!
So, I was never able to get the $60 I paid at launch back from Bethesda, despite Skyrim being broken on the PS3 (and despite it breaking MY PS3, by corrupting my HDD) and their being a 90-day warranty Bethesda wouldn't honor (of course the store wouldn't take it back, as it had already been opened -- which goes against the ridiculous DMCA). Think Bethesda will do right and at least honor their warranty by giving me a code to play the game on Steam on my PC?

I really, really want to finish the game. And after paying $60, having it break my 360, dealing with Sony for hours, I think a code to play the PC version isn't asking to much. Anyone think this would be possible, or does Bethesda really not care that they sold me (and all PS3 owners) a broken game that still hasn't been fixed?

The Jedi Knight games (I'm on mission 4 of Dark Forces right now)! Steam's having an awesome sale where you get all of them for $4.99. Outside of the first 2, I never had a computer powerful enough to handle the games. Now, obviously, it doesn't take all that great a computer to play them -- so this will be my first time playing the last couple Jedi Knight titles, which is weird, as the first two Dark Forces/Jedi Knight games remain 2 of my favorite shooters.
I owned a sickening amount of this stuff. I owned the popcorn tin. The watch. About a trillion of the stickers. 3 of the T-shirts. The game on at least 3 different consoles/PCs from back in the day (and I even loved the 2600 version). I owned the Namco Museum. I honestly think I owned every single Pac-Man handheld. I owned Pac-Man World 1 & 2 & 3. I owned Ms. Pac-Man on the Atari 5200 (first console that could pause, that I knew of and I LOVED the feature). And, my ultimate treasure -- which I still have -- a tabletop Ms. Pac-Man game. I wouldn't have to stop now, as I also have about a zillion stuffed Pacs, the 45" Pac-Man Fever, etc. etc. but I am going to stop because this is getting embarrassing.
I sort of said the same thing. Just in a more cynical manner. What we don't know is how much Tim and the other already grossly wealthy folks are talking out of this as income. As we -- the poor people -- are handing over money, it would be nice to know that they -- the rich people -- are not taking an exorbitant salary. Or any salary at all, to be honest. But that info. is hidden and I doubt it will ever come out. But, as I said, I handed over my $15 and look forward to what is to come in this venture.

Another thing -- with political donations and/or Kickstarter -- it would be nice to be rewarded by how much a person gives relative to said person's income. A billionaire can easily hand over the $10,000 to get the best of the best. But it's no sacrifice to the billionaire. What about the dude making $30,000 a year who hands over $1,000? In reality, he/she sacrificed a LOT more and should be given a LOT more.

I don't think I typed anything opposing your train of thought. You just decided to be offended. For no reason.
In every single game I've been married in, I'm still with my virtual wife. In real life, I've been married once and divorced once and engaged once and dumped once. I guess that says it all. And it makes me a very sad panda.
The more money this millionaire gets, the more I wish my poor, poor ass didn't give him $15. I love his games. I love the thought of a new adventure game. But, relatively speaking, $15 to me is about half a million to him. I doubt he'd put out that kind of cash. The wealthy are incredibly good at asking the less wealthy to hand them money to keep them rich. Oh well. I look forward to what is to come and, despite this feeling of regret, will try to enjoy what I get out of being a poor man giving to a wealthy individual.
I'm making a Tofurky for breakfast. I bought a few extra prior to Thanksgiving and froze them (they're only available here from October-December). My girlfriend just began smelling my Tofurky baking and claims it woke her up. She says, if I ever do this again, she'll leave me. I hate my meat-eating girlfriend. And I love Tofurky. That is all. #speakup
Does it have to be Japanese people who are confused and Japanese people only? As a multi-console gamer who's more accustomed to the Xbox (despite preferring the PS), the whole "X" thing has caused me a world of hurt. And by "world of hurt" I mean, "somewhat aggravating incorrect button presses." The "X" button is on the bottom on the PS3 and on the left on the 360. Seems like it'd be simple enough, but when you get used to one setup it messes with your brain (and fingers). I wish the 360 never had an "X" button. Then things would be easy.

EDIT: I'm basing these comments on memory alone. My memory is poor. Even if I'm wrong, the whole "X" button in the wrong spot melts my fragile brain.

Yep. I found the save spot about 2 seconds after posting and already transferred the approximately 2.3578 billion saves (IE - that game auto-saves a LOT) to a USB card. Now here's hoping I can install the disc on a second computer with the same passkey thingie I used on the old computer and continue my game. Thanks for your response. Sorry about being dumb this morning (as for this afternoon? Time is yet to tell.)! #speakup
PC saves. Hi guys -- got my new PC and have to send my old one back. I have about 18 hours into Witcher 2 (disc version) and want to know if there is a way to transfer my saves from old computer to new? Also, any games I've played on Steam (particularly Portal 2, as I've put some time into that one). Hopefully this is a stupid question with an obvious answer and the saves are easy to transfer. Anyway, thanks in advance! #speakup
Well ... if it did turn out to be a sequel to, say, Grim Fandango or Full Throttle, I couldn't really see many fans of this type of game complaining.
I threw my $15 into the hat. Hopefully, as a gamer-backed game, the title will be DRM-free. One can dream, right?
The first one was pure awesome. Easily in my top 10 FPS games ever made. But I think my opinion on that one was in the minority.
"Combat relies on reflexes more than strategy this time around; Jackie can rarely get the jump on an enemy, and the Darkness is just a weapon rather than a tool."

Most disappointing sentence ever.

I'm disappointed in these numbers. Outside of "run" not working in the PC demo, I was thoroughly impressed. With graphics turned up to high and everything enabled, the game looks beautiful. I'm still debating a buy on this one -- as long as I still have a PC capable of playing it on its highest settings.

Still going to wait for the inevitable re-design. But man, Nintendo's making this a long, hard wait. Willpower, don't fail me now!
