@loladash: In a lot of ways I think Gawker (Media) has gone to shit, but Hamilton is one of the best writers they've had.
A lot of his stuff is brutally funny and he makes it seem effortless (I love the Way We Live Now posts). Also, the dude is a great boxing writer: [deadspin.com]
"The fledgling hero NoobPwnerX420X awoke to find himself in a strange, wondrous world. As he gathered his senses, a wise old man approached. 'Hello . Welcome to Telara. I need you to bring me 10 rat butts.'"
@Solid2TheSnake: " There will be microtransactions. Players will be able to buy items for the game, but Mark Kern, CEO for Firedall development studio Red 5 and an ex-Blizzard guy, says that even the purchasable items that may involve gameplay — the ones that aren't just cosmetic — won't imbalance the game."
@Killer Toilet: The last preview I read (couple months ago) was very encouraging. Seems like you actually get to do some detective work and there's multiple ways of gathering evidence, interviewing suspects and solving cases.
@Bubbleman! Atlus is the new Squaresoft. SquareEnix is the Japanese Activision: There was a lot of disappointment in how UFC 2010 turned out this year, even after the patches. A lot of us UFC 2010 owners just want to try another take on MMA. And even a lot of casual MMA fans are interested in this game because its an EA product (meaning it should be polished) and offers stuff not available in the UFC game. Not expecting blockbuster sales but it will do well. And I believe EA"s current plan is to alternate release years between MMA and Fight Night.
