Is anybody broken up about True Crime? I'm genuinely curious. From what I heard, the first one barely warranted a sequel, let alone a reboot.
Nariko's fluttering red dookie ropes? No. If anything, her spot is more well-deserved than most on the list. Technological limitations are not to blame; absurd art direction and character design are. Also, Fang has awesome eyes, but her hair kinda says heroine addict.
@Vexorg: This seems likely. I imagine Nintendo is kicking themselves about now. They could have started a new franchise with Yarn without the Kirby name attached.
@Zach Baker: You should probably get that looked at. Maybe there's a pill or something.
Can I get a Law & Order sound effect for this post here?
I'd love to see an artist with some talent and creativity try their hand at this concept.
Well-deserved. Good going Kotaku!
@Andy Kohnen: I'm appalled and incredibly disappointed that it beat out Red Dead for second place. Did people bleet and bah as they clicked in their votes?
@edofyingfilms: Oh really? But, it had Tetsuya Nomura's artwork and I thought... oh. Hmm. Wow. And hear I thought Square Enix had put out a decent game in recent memory.
Great multiplayer. Derivative, oppressively linear, repetitive single-player with a laughable story. That's right, laughable. So no, not game of the year, not even in the top 5. Show me something new. Let me do something I never did before in a videogame.
Oh, hi there Squeenix. You making a little Final Fantasy sequel there? That's nice. That's fine. But where the fuck is TWEWY 2!?
@Guizzy: Justify what you want how you want. As far as I'm concerned, Dune was fine by itself.
@interkin3tic: Nah she was mandatory. Gonzo is a glaring absence though. Vega perhaps? Though he really doesn't seem right for it.
@InsaneElite:

Leaking videos is wrong, the people who did it are bad, but I don't think this was faked. Honestly, how the hell did you think Heart of the Swarm would end? Mengsk is going down, and Raynor and Kerrigan are the ones who will do it. The third game will see all three races doing battle against the Xel Naga.

Also, this ending isn't going to put a dent in Starcraft 2 sales. A spoiled cinema may encourage Blizzard to mix things up though. Do something unexpected. Frankly, they could use a little more of that lately.

As for the fight choreography, the way Kerrigan took out those marines reminds me of the fighting in the wrathgate cinema and the bar fight in Wings of Liberty. Exaggerated, lumbering movements. Shock-wave attacks excusing broadly drawn collision. Frankly, it looks like Blizzard's fights.
Between the copyright challenges, the voice acting, and the fight choreography... this looks legit to me.

Glad it leaked actually. Gives Blizzard some incentive to take another stab at the ending, not that I think it's terrible. After the Wings of Liberty ended, this is the only logical conclusion for Heart of the Swarm. Now they have to mix things up.

Good times.
