I'm not ashamed to play Pokemon at all either. I've played it since I was a kid and the games are way deeper than you'd think. So far, Pokemon Black is just an all around great game, and it actually seems geared more towards older players for once. (I can't picture younger players understanding what the hell Team Plasma is talking about).
I think the main problem is consoles. As beautifully as NES and SNES games have aged, they're a bitch to find and get a hold of, and that problem will become worse and worse as we slowly inch towards purely digital distribution.
Douglas Coupland's newest book "Player One: What Has Become Of Us". I'm not much of a reader, but Douglas Coupland is by far the definitive author of this generation. (In case you didn't know, he coined the term Gen X.) You owe it to yourself to check this book out, it'll make you think.
Having never played a Serious Sam game (don't hate), and having an extra 400 points lying around, which one should I get on XBLA?
I agree. It's just selfish and arrogant to ignore their ENTIRE userbase and just keep this site in an almost unusable mess. #speakup
Breach or Stacking? Decide for me. #speakup
Agreed. I mostly browse the site on my netbook without a mouse, therefore I have no scroll wheel, and hitting next headlines is extremely laggy.
@Rated-G: Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts. Such a great, underrated game.

@Steve Hair: I knew Mat Bruso was on there, but I had no idea he was back in BYD. Hopefully they'll be tolerable again! If you haven't heard it yet, check out the new Comeback Kid, it sounds like it'd be right up your alley.
@Manly McBeeferton: I'm probably gonna pick up the keyboard in the next few months, especially since I just download The Clash's London Calling album and that's filled with key parts.

Also, not trying to sound like one of those elitist assholes, but the pro guitar is just too much for me to consider when I've played for almost 10 years. It definitely seems like a great learning tool though, and if I ever saw it for under 100$ I'd pick it up in a heartbeat.

@GamerKT: I'm in love with about half that album. It's not the softness that bothers me, there's just a lot of filler. The Dirt Whispers is in my top 5 RA songs though, and Entertainment and the Kotov Syndrome are pretty rad. The first single off Endgame is sounding good too, so hopefully it'll turn out awesome.
@TeamBlacula: I've been on such a huge Clash kick lately. Too bad most people know them for Should I Stay or Should I Go? and Rock the Casbah and will never hear songs like Death or Glory or Safe European Home :(
@Manly McBeeferton: I need to buy the keyboard for it! I've been running off my RB2 instruments. No way in hell am I paying that much for a Pro Guitar though.

@GamerKT: No shame in that. Unless you're listening to Appeal to Reason ;)
@MyTearsIntoWine: They definitely can. I love both bands, although I haven't listened in a while.
@VincentGrey: I just had to put this here due to the title.
@Steve Hair: The Ghost Inside is such a great band. The really stand out among the all the generic metalcore bands. Chronos is great.
Of course the snow day comes on the one day off I get before I start my new semester. Oh well, Rock Band 3 all day for me anyway.

Listening to The Lawrence Arms' The Greatest Story Ever Told for the first time in a while. This is probably the best "concept album" ever written, fuck Green Day.
