Not to harp on about this, but the story posted following this one (by Luke) includes the following line in the front page text - "And corpses hanging of those spikes".

'Off' was probably the word mispelt, but 'from' perhaps a better choice? Again, I only decided to suddenly speak up about this because there seems to be so much of it around at the mo... It's no wonder newspaper/magazine press tend to look down their noses at blogs in general; when this is the sort of stuff they see.

@Mike Fahey: Mike... you don't seem to proof read your stuff, like, ever. No one on this site does.

It seems to be a growing trend in blogging, across Kotaku and even onto main news sites. Everyone seems to be in such a rush. It's the equivalent of saying "if you didn't catch what i was saying the first time, fuck off because i haven't got time to repeat myself or tidy my vocab up...."

Don't you guys actually get paid for this stuff? Isn't it like... your job?

Wish they'd do something about the 3rd person mode in Fallout 3. The character animation was... just... well I'm sorry but it was crap. It looked like he was walking with a very peculiar half-limp. Really not sold on this title yet, although I love the premise and my bro was a big fan of the previous two. I'm hopeful...
You also must surely consider that even with these 'cooling' figures, it's still 3-4 times higher sales figures than any other device or software from the competition.

While strong sales of PSP and Monster Hunter topped the charts, the ground the other systems have to 'make up' on the Wii/DS is staggering. Nintendo were selling some weeks 10 TIMES more units.

I think it's more a question of complete market saturation. The fact they shift enough units each week to still chart, and often at no.1 or 2, is just crazy.

Human heart on lawn... should be dead .... i'm thinking he's a vampire.
I wonder if there is a tinge of regret that they didn't announce any of the above titles at the show via a trailer or two. I just think it's weakened somewhat by stories in the press announcing the games a day or two later. It just looks... and feels... weird.

Although, you'd have to be a total loon-monkey to EVER think Nintendo weren't working on these 3 IP's ALL THE TIME.

While i'm in a bitchy mood... how can people keep commenting this game is 'rough' around the edges (something I can vouch whole-heartedly for) when it appears to have been in developemnt for half of humankinds existence on this planet?

Seriously though... what on earth have they been doing? Really, honestly, for a demo that shonky?

The demo was bugged, a poor imitation of 3-4 gaming styles, poorly directed, poorly structured, total lack of enemy variety, pretty good inventory screen mind... It wants to be the best part of 5-6 years worth of top 1 best seller games, and comes out as just total garbage.

I don't know the histroy of this game or it's developers, but i'd actually be interested to sit next to a gamer who declares he/she loves it and have them attempt to explain to me why. Because, truly, i just don't understand it based on this single demo...

@Falsoman: Could you get some kinda storage solution outta them for the Wii while you're at it? Thanks Captain Planet, you're 'da man!

Translated version. Seeing Little Mac crying on the moonlit beach... = me sad :(

@Falsoman: I hereby put my vote forward to have your tag renamed Captain Rainbow, if you wish it :)
Exceptional stuff.

@Timooo: Good work on posting the 3rd trailer. Come on Luke, get on the ball and post that too :)

Game looks amazing. LOL'd when Little Mac rolled outta the ring in the latest trailer :)

I somehow feel feedback/comments/opinion would be even higher if it included DUDE HUGE self-made amateur pornshots. Just a thought...
@quartet4: Seconded. Sony have a bloody music distribution label ffs... no excuse for the poor releases recently. It's again as if one arm of Sony has no idea the other one even exists, let alone what it's actually doing.
This should be possible to sideskirt around if you use a proxy (based in the USA). i.e. You tell your PS3 to connect to the internet via an anonymous proxy based in the USA (many of them about, intended for privacy surfing).

In THEORY the Sony store is only monitoring the visiting IP address that hits it, so as long as it's USA based, it should work.

Never bothered to look into this for the 360 because I felt their service was awful, but the Sony one appears far more complete.

The quicker they end european/pacific/atlantic region locks the better. I know this requires a massive amount of work but the digital age is already breaking through many 'artificial' barriers/borders meant to contain citizens or restrict rights.

It's not as if piracy is being attempted - the goods are still being purchased. The fact the country you live in is missing out on the sales tax they incorrectly somehow feel they are owed is the issue to overcome.

My biggest issue with this whole new interface (a new design is something I approve of greatly) is that it's seemingly fueled by desperation; of duplicity and $$$ eagerness for casual gamer money (Wii) and merchandising via virtual goods (Second Life/HOME/etc).

The interface isn't even GOOD! Why ON EARTH does it become smaller as you look towards the right of the screen? You won't be able to read the text on the 4th/5th icons unless you're using a 50" screen. Look at all the wasted vertical space! We all know it's a blatant rip of the iPod Touch 'album scroll' interface... so to quote Quentin Tarantino "if you're going to steal something, steal it fucking blind, the entire damn thing".

All that said, is it too much to ask for, following a successful building of a core fanbase well into the millions, that they INNOVATE and PUSH out into new waters? Where IS my Minority Report interface? Where IS my Flow-inspired interface? (using a little creature to swim around and pick your chosen options, tunneling up and down levels... ) I'm thinking off the top of my head here.

Even though Wii Fit isn't my thing, at least Nintendo continue to think outside the box and attempt seemingly ever crazier ideas... (and have done historically, even with enormous failures such as Virtual Boy).

Initial vibe is Microsoft is trying WAY too hard to be a bit of everything to ensure they once again have equal if not better features than the other platforms...
The interface looks ... awfully familiar... kinda like they swallowed a few doses of APPLE juice before designing...
I would have thought any motion control device from M$, and there WILL be one, will resemble a small attachment that plugs in to the top/bottom of the pad... a chunky if somewhat streamlined adapter kinda like the plastic connector from the wired headset.

Nintendo have motion, Sony have motion... just as they [Microsoft] were forced by marketing to attach a HDMI slot to the 360 so their "packaging can have the same features on the front as the competition", they will get at the very least a basic motion control a la Sixaxis.

It's just a matter of time.

I highly doubt it'll be a TV remote akin to the Wii-Mote. It'll be an optional adapter that you can plug in with pass-through for mic headset etc.
