I was talking about the announcements of their release date, both making news on Kotaku on the same day (today).
That + Ni no Kuni's date on the same day? How can tomorrow be better now?
#corrections passed away a year later at the AGE of 49 (or just 'at 49' to not repeat 'age'...)
Sometimes, laughing is a defense mechanism...
And suddenly, today is a good day.
The release week-end is up now: 5th, but with one of the best $/screen ratio. The big domestic hit of the moment seems to be that Sunset on 3rd Street movie (third film based on a popular slice of life manga I never heard of).

I have no idea how reliable these numbers are btw, but it probably gives at the very least a good sense as to what is going on. And no I am not in Japan, but I'll try to watch it at some point.

It was released on the 11th in Japan, so the numbers are not up yet on box office mojo. Here is a list to the latest chart. [boxofficemojo.com]
number_of_users times size_of_patch makes for a lot of bandwidth and someone has to pay for it.
Could it be Mishima in that photograph?
Blame whoever picked the picture, because it's the only one out of five on the black milk clothing website where she wears glasses.
Social Networking Game of the Year: Sims Social

Based on the couple gigantic and enlightening pieces by Tim Rogers on that... thing... I can't decide if it's very right choice or a very wrong one. Very right if you want to reward the excellence in Kafkaesque, soul crushing, goal-less, money grabbing scheme. Very wrong if you want to reward something that has some ethics and represents a positive evolution for the game industry (but then who would you give that award to?).

If 20% of the user base stay semi-offline in a game that is designed from the ground up for the multi-player and has a notoriously lame single player campaign, it makes you wonder how many offline gamers did not buy the game (I know I count for one).

It would be interesting to have that number for games that are campaign heavy with a lighter/gimmicky multi-player mode. Like, say, Uncharted 2.

I suspect they even sold more 32X!
My guess is because all of five people actualy used the program so it's not worth the trouble. On top of that, they want to sell Vita games.
The worst part is how buying a PS Vita makes your PSP explode :(
Here is to hoping whoever will review this title will have played at least some of Raw Danger.
Tennis games remain a mystery to me, especially compared to the quality of other sport games. Is the market too small to justify the cost of hiring a guy who knows proper technique to avoid stupid things like open stance forehand volleys? Or is there a technical hurdle that is impossible to overcome when you need to blend together proper animation, proper player position and connecting with the ball while still being playable?
I'll play it when the makers learn what a hit box is.
Nailed it out of the park? Why would anyone do that?
