The Moron Test.

Some if not all are out there for iPhonr, however, these are at least worth a try. The top two I've mentioned, everyone must certainly try it. Get examples of good and challenging mobile games.

Been following you and your work for years now. You have this varying style that makes it hard to fit you into one category. Congrats and keep it up. When you moved from MTV to Kotaku, Crecente posted saying how it was good to see one game journalist leaving his job to take up "more games journalism" and not development, hope its the same case with him.

Good luck to both of you!

(wow, I'm surprised I still remember that article's title : [kotaku.com] )

I was there!! Well, at least for the last 10 minutes thanks to the timing conflict. I was going to suggest "That obscure game that probably only I know of" for the list... you know, as a placeholder for that one game that everyone feels is the best ever or has effected them the most but doesn't necessarily resonate with everyone.

I tried to meet You Mr.Totilo but you just disappeared after the show! (My first target was Kasavin :P ) I guess you were busy with all the Kotaku-ing during PAX.

Hope you get a better time slot next time!

Also, I think there was another, VERY SIMILAR, panel like this one at pax, it had "canon" word in it too. Got it.. "Ten Games You Need to Play: The Digital Game Canon"

I don't know how differently they do that compared to you guys, don't why there was a need for a second one. You've already done THREE SEASONS!
And they released this on Valentine's day, nice timing :P
The game looks better than I expected. Should be pretty interesting. Doesn't feel like a silly cash-in.

Also, Jak looks very... buff?
This article would have benefited a LOT if there was an imdb link on every slide's page, and...

if the author created a youtube playlist for all these songs.

Great job nevertheless.
This is great news!

Can't wait to get my hands on this game. Crazy Rhythm Tengoku /Ouendan fan I am.
@Reetesh: Just returned from the launch Party here at Buffalo.

It was very fun! Won some swag too :D You can check out the stuff (with pics) that happened here [twitter.com] if interested
My first time here in US, and Halo Reach is launching, will be making way to my local Gamestop and See how launch events happen!
Were you logged into your account when you were searching? The results are dependent on your browsing and search history.

So it would be best judged if done incognito.
If it IS a "card game" I hope its more of a Pokemon style card game, than some Texas Holdem etc.
A bad guy, mask removed, and then caught. All its missing is one of the robbers saying

"I would have gotten away with it, If it weren't for those meddling kids"
I doubt you, Mr. Totilo, will be in such a position. Unless of course you wish to settle with a career doing something other than what you are doing right now.

Since the past 4 years, college had caught up with me, and even though I spent majority of my home-time, just sitting on the PC and reading/watching Kotaku or any other game related stuff. The amount of time I spent actually playing games has decreased.

I used to play 100hr games back in the days, now I think "I guess I will leave it to for *the right time* " which of course, never comes. I just end up playing whatever I get my hands on.

Well, basically. I always want to play games, it totally escapes me how I, even with good amount of free time, don't spend as much on what I want to do.
GoW Sacrifice section.

The other thing in GoW games that no one realized happens in every iteration of it.

Also, I guess "The thing that happens in every GoW game" will turn more eyes and embarrass the player in public more than this.
@kagekiri: @ant800: Yeah, exactly. It was like a car accident, I couldn't look away, i.e. stop watching the show just because of that.

It just pulled me in, and well, the end was really something, it was one tearful moment after the other. But still theres a lot of things to learn from it.
I never knew Kimozo Eien was a game until I read its wiki page after watching the anime series.

The anime was really really good. The way they capture emotions and put all those difficult situations was nice. (Of course it also had its unnecessary fan-service moments)

Speaking of fan service, I can never forget how Misato almost had a part in the end where she said "Servicu-servicu" Its like, even when something is trying to be all serious and stuff, it has to have those silly parts to be complete.

I guess it will take some more time, when fan service will be left to fan-art and creators can have just the right bits and still be successful.

Or maybe they actually like putting all those other things.
Recently an electric malfunction in the nearby power-grid, incurred a loss of about 200 USD in my house, this being in India, counts as quite a large sum (11000 INR)

After showing everything to the Insurance company this is what they said.

What I learnt from this?

"Insurance companies do not give a shit"

also

"Insurance companies are full of shit"

and

"Insurance companies talk a lot of shit"

Yeah, was quite a bad experience :/
If you meet Luisa, tell here Abraham thinks she is Laura.
Whatever be the reason, if it gets more people to play the Sly series, I will be most happy! Such a wonderful series it is.
Exactly! When Cobb was looking for an architect, it gave me the same feeling. It felt just like if they were making a game.

And indeed, The way they moved from one wall to another gave me the same feelings of SMG and then the other thing with CoD.

Psychonauts comparison was pretty good too. If only they tried going into the mind of an entity within the mind of a person they were visiting, in the game.

But very rarely does a game get me all tensed up like the movie did. You always know you'll respawn, I guess that why, having buddy NPCs is crucial to game's stories now a days. You can't say what'll happen to them. Maybe they'll die? That way if the game builds a near death situation, you will get more tensed.

I wonder if any game kills the character we control un-expectedly and continues the story with another. Guess MGS2 comes closest to that.
