@leniribbons: Yeah, I knew early (looks to be the same to you). My Mom was also a lesbian though so that might have caused them to force her hand a bit more when I started asking questions at a young age. (Talking to her, I was always good at taking things at face value, dissecting the meaning... then stop caring as soon as the Ninja Turtles were on :-p).
So maybe that's where more of my "weird" conversations and being treated bad came from. (Never by kids... but the adults would forbid the kids to hang out with me.... lol I didn't have a close friend until 7th grade when kids are old enough and parents don't care)

I’m also an artificially inseminated "Kid" (Being 25 now, it’s kind of hard to put it that way). You know, I’ve never really thought about the donor. It’s never been a concern of mine. All I’ve ever wanted to find out was if he was smart.
I agree 100% this bill is stupid. I’ve actually met a kid who wanted to meet the father. It was kind of a surreal conversation (He was around 3-4 years younger). He couldn’t get the fact I didn’t want to find "Him" and I couldn’t get why he’d want to.
I care about siblings, but I have a feeling it might be for a different reason. I don’t want to "connect" with family sort of thing. I worry about potential dating. The joke I’ve been saying for years has been "I might have 36 brothers and sisters…. I worry I might end up going on a few dates and finding out she was artificially inseminated, cause that would be my luck"

You know, I've never found a need or a desire to find the sperm donor. In fact, the few kids I've met like me I didn't meet until I was in college. Those conversations were weird... They couldn't understand why I didn't care to find the donor. And I couldn't figure out why they felt this big whole they needed to fill with some guy who may or may not live up to the expectations. They were very normal people other than this fact. *shrugs* To each their own I guess.
