I just don't have enough room in my room to play wii fit properly in. I don't need wii fit to get my dose of push-ups, squats, whatever but it does help me to actually see some progress and introduce me to new exercises.

<![CDATA[RPGr commented on Is This Official Chrono Trigger DS Confirmation?]]> Here's hoping for an actual sequel that keeps the flavor of the original title rather than the "change everything you knew and loved about the original" that is Chrono cross (yes, Chrono Cross was a good game in it's own right but being tethered to Chrono Trigger was a big mistake as it just didn't carry the feel into it... that and no Magus)

<![CDATA[RPGr commented on Flash To Engage In Mortal Kombat]]> My guess

Prototypical Super Hero ---> Green Lantern

Mystical Super Hero -----> Zatanna

Amazon Queen -----> Wonder Woman

Sexy Villainness ---> Poison Ivy (Catwoman is more an anti-hero than villainess)

Crazy Villain ----> Joker obviously

Military Superhero -----> Hmm the Atom is the only one that really fits although John Stewart Green Lantern could also go here

<![CDATA[RPGr commented on Konami: All Music Game Instruments Should Be Compatible]]> If Konami does not heed it's own words then it's just pointless gibberish...

<![CDATA[RPGr commented on Yoshitaka Amano Headlines New York Anime Festival]]> I love his artwork. The dreamlike soft flowing lines and his cross between anime (although a lighter and softer interpretation) and classic fantasy paintings that permute in a majority of his artwork makes for a nice passive art. Rather than his artwork standing out, it draws you in.

<![CDATA[RPGr commented on 'Metal Gear Solid 4' And The Lack Of Sad Games]]> Lost Odyssey. Although the short stories run a a whole spectrum of emotions but sadness and melancholy are the prevailing themes.

<![CDATA[RPGr commented on Favorites! Which Current Console Do You Like Best?]]> I'd have to say my DS. Does that count? If not then my PS3 by virtue of it being a 60 gig PS2 backward compatible model.

TBH I'm quite disappointed with the current generation. If the 360 wasn't so poorly made, I'd say the 360. The PS3 is solid but the games (not enough games that really wow me that are exclusive)and price holds it back. Wii just seems to sit there as the games just don't draw me in (big RPG fan here). Hell, currently my PSP, PS2 and DS all log in more hours individually than the 3 current gens combined.

<![CDATA[RPGr commented on Two New Characters for Tatsunoko vs. Capcom]]> Since all the comments I made this morning (EST) were eaten...

It's a shame that Capcom has no respect for Clover. Viewtiful Joe would make a wonderful addition considering all the heishin

]]>
<![CDATA[RPGr commented on Hello Kitty Becomes DS PDA]]> I've been waiting for a PDA program for the DS. It really is a perfect fit, just wish it wasn't soo ...."cute" (sorry, had to use a Metal Gear quote in there. Playing the entire series over again to get me in the mood for MGS4 which is sitting pretty on my shelf.

]]>
<![CDATA[RPGr commented on More Offspring Coming To Rock Band]]> Offspring are an OK band. It's just something you gotta be in the mood for (and when you are, they sound terrific), although they are pretty good fit for Rock Band playing I think.

Nice simple to wail in songs and the camp factor is pretty high.

]]>
<![CDATA[RPGr commented on Yakuza 2 Will Feature The Japanese Language]]> Props, I'll definitely be picking this up unlike the first one where they killed the mood by having to hear American voices add -san at the end of sentences...

<![CDATA[RPGr commented on Sushi Isn't Always "Sushi"]]> I could swear that salmon is a fish, unless you meant it was cooked and not raw in which case your initial assessment is correct.

I blame the "safe" sushi on california rolls. It all started with those damn hipsters pretending to eat raw fish but not really cause it was "disgusting"

<![CDATA[RPGr commented on Tecmo Stays Mum on Itagaki Departure]]> @VakeroRokero: Is he really saving the company? No doubt his games are great but a great game does not profit make. He's had a few hits but also a few stinkers.

]]>
<![CDATA[RPGr commented on Tecmo Stays Mum on Itagaki Departure]]> Willing to bet that Itagaki is gonna start a new studio under Microsoft. We know the guy's an Xbox fanboy to the extreme. MS likes him a lot. The only logical conclusion is him jumping to MS.

<![CDATA[RPGr commented on Yakuza 2 Takes Another Baby Step Towards American Release]]> Sweet. Sega was saying they'll bring it over to the US for a cheap price if Sony will let them drop the damn requirement for english voice acting.

Hopefully that is the case. Getting sick of hearing english in what is clearly Japan. If a game is set in a particular country, I like my voice acting to be what they use in that country be it English, French, Japanese, Chinese, whatever. Just give me subtitles and I'm happy.

<![CDATA[RPGr commented on Massive: In-Game Ads Successful, And Gamers Love 'Em!]]> I'm one of the few that actually likes in game ads, just as long as it makes sense for the target demographics. I don't want to see Alesse or birth control ads in something like like say, Mass Effect. Maybe it's just me but since we are bombarded by ads everyday it just seems out of place when there are no ads at all.

<![CDATA[RPGr commented on Japan Gets New PLAYSTATION Eye Bundle, Software]]> A local shop already sells the eye + eye of judgement for $50. You can get the eye alone for $45 at any Walmart and sometimes I see it on sale for $40.

Yes, the games are already on the PSN network. Some are kinda cool, others are fun but lame in the same way Warioware is.

]]>
<![CDATA[RPGr commented on Sony Introducing Pay For Demo, "Exclusive Content" Gaming Program]]> Wasn't this expected of Sony considering the killing of the Playstation magazine? I'm pretty sure this is the replacement for that.

As long as playing online is still free as well as online interactions with other people in general (ala Home), I don't really care if Sony runs an e-magazine on the side.

<![CDATA[RPGr commented on Anti-Feministing: Debunking The Argument Against GTA IV]]> I'm a super wuss at the game. I don't kill people unless they deserve it. Mostly the only reason I play GTA is just to explore (in which committing crimes hinders). I like unhindered exploration both in real life and in my games.

The only time I knowingly killed someone in GTA so far is some dude that ran me over in his car while I was legally crossing the street.

I make a point of playing the game the way I want to play. I just wished the programmers allowed you to "win" the game by taking on on jobs and amassing enough money to become rich rather than go through with killing.

<![CDATA[RPGr commented on Lucasarts Tease, Break Hearts Over Classic Adventure Games On DS]]> @CockroachMan: LOOM, no voice.

The majority of the data was dumped as voices and sound after Indiana Jones: Fate of Atlantis. Sprites back in the old day don't take much data.

]]>
<![CDATA[RPGr commented on Lucasarts Tease, Break Hearts Over Classic Adventure Games On DS]]> Or, you know, they could make it for the PSP or hell, a compilation collection on DVD for the PC that works flawlessly without ScummVM (which on occasion leaves much to be desired).

128Mbytes is the limit of a DS cart. As much as compression is great and all, it still can't do everything and the loading times would be atrocious.

<![CDATA[RPGr commented on The Video Game Defense That Wasn't]]> I find it ironic that games, which are about having control over a character, becoming something of a defense into not having control over oneself.

It's not a case of monkey see monkey do. Video games are rewarding because our input causes a direct result.

<![CDATA[RPGr commented on Less Robot, More (Two) Other Things]]> @RPGr: I should also interate that as the guy blogged, this might as well be SRW X Monolith Software.

That said, flashing boobs to kill is damn funny. What a way to go!

]]>
<![CDATA[RPGr commented on Less Robot, More (Two) Other Things]]> Actually looking at the trailer and reading the blog, this is a semi-sequel to Namco X Capcom with the same gameplay. It has the two main characters from Namco X Capcom in it as well as Kos Mos.

]]>
<![CDATA[RPGr commented on Less Robot, More (Two) Other Things]]> The boob bouncing? Been here since the Super Robot War Alpha series, a bit late to the Super Robot craze aren't you Ashcraft? I mean besides FF and DQ, the next one on the list is Robot Wars (once held by SMT series).

]]>
<![CDATA[RPGr commented on So Far, The Lowest MGS4 Review Score]]> Damn an 8? Regardless I'd still buy/play this game if the review was a 7. Reviews to me are only good for analyzing after the fact. I know a lot of games where the reviews are low but for the price, would shoot the game up a couple of notches.

Likewise I'll play some games that have 8's and 9's and I'd look at it and say, I'd rate this game a 6 on my personal level (looking at you SSBM, Windwaker, Majora's Mask).

If a games premacist catches my fancy, even if it is flawed, I'd still give it a high score (Lost Odyssey, flawed game but the damn best JRPG I've played since Final Fantasy 10 IMO).

]]>
<![CDATA[RPGr commented on Zero Punctuation Takes On The World Ends With You]]> w, I'm a huge fan of JRPGs in general but nevertheless I find Yahtzee ragging on the genre funny as hell mostly because I tend to use cheat devices whenever the game sends me in to grind fest at the end of the game.

Yet the thing I like about JRPGs is the story. Sure, he rags on about the CS and such but after a long day at work sometimes all i like to do is press a few buttons in lathergic fashion and have neat things happen.

So yes, unlike the Ninty fanboys, I accept his criticism of the genre and my taste in games.
