@MessiahPrinny: For real. This game is clearly made by men and
mainly targeted to men. There's nothing in the game that panders to
women (aside from the rare male nudity). In fact, the female
characters in the game are underdeveloped, exploited and pretty
much treated horribly.
It could potentially be a good game for introducing people of any
gender to gaming who aren't familiar with how to play them. I think
CliffyB just thinks it would be a good game for women in particular
because the controls are simple and their ladybrains won't be
confused by all the buttons. /sarcasm
Really glad they made this change to multiplayer. It was so nice to play with people who actually wanted to focus on hideouts and challenges.
Much as people try to justify it, griefing is just being annoying and not all of us are interested in stooping to that level. Frankly, I don't have the free time to waste my gameplay on sexually frustrated, sociopathic children (and seriously, WHY are there so many kids playing this game? Their parents should be ashamed of themselves <_<). Hopefully it'll only be a matter of time before they disable mount killing in Friendly mode, as well.
I'm fine with the lack of numeric score on reviews. On the other hand, I didn't mind that your old reviews occasionally got a bit wordy (I like a lot of detail). Looking forward to seeing your new system in action.
@Spykedude: It might depend on where the player is in the game? If they take that into account and change the story to suit it, I'll be pretty impressed.
Wow. I *was* going to buy this game, but I might be giving it a pass now. I don't mind a certain level of ridiculousness within the game, but this is just tacky and exploitative.
I don't see the game being the *cause* of the crime, per se...
I can see someone who has a history of disassociation as a coping technique (likely as the result of childhood abuse) playing a game to *forget* the crime.
