I hate how a lot of games today ignore local multiplayer. I'd prefer if developers gave equal attention to both. As an adult living on my own, online is a must, but for those time where I am around others, like family gatherings, local is also a must.
Hopefully this new stuff includes Zora's Domain thawing out after the Water Temple. It's the one thing that keeps this game from being absolutely perfect to me. But either way, the talk of new things, plus Master Quest has me strongly considering picking up a 3DS.
The worst thing about the blue shell is that it's absolutely useless for the person using it. At least in 64, it hit 3rd, 5th, and 7th as well, so you had a chance to move up a few spots. In Wii, if I'm in 12th place, and I use a blue shell, it's only going to hit the person in 1st, knocking them a few spots back, but guess what? I'm still in 12th place.
I got here from going to my profile and clicking the speakup tag from an old post of mine. How do I get here from the front page? And this new layout is beyond horrible. It's confusing to navigate, it's ugly, and it's not user friendly. Why am I forced to use the arrow keys or mouse wheel to navigate the articles on the side? Why is there no sidebar there? Why is this text box for comments not in the main articles? Change for the sake of change is never a good thing. #speakup
I was just thinking about Twilight Princess, and just thought how much better the story would have been if Zant and Ganon were acting independently rather than shoehorning in Ganon's role at the end, IMO of course. Then I wondered, how many games have the player tackle two or more main, but independent villians or threats. No mutual goal, no man behind the man, just two unrelated main villians in the same story. I think that would be a cool idea to explore if it hasn't been done already.
I was just thinking this morning that there hasn't been any new info on this game, and lo and behold, I come home from work to some new info on the karma system.
I want to say something like "Good. The more current trends Nintendo stays away from the better. They seem to be one of the few developers I can depend on for good old fashioned traditional gaming."
But in this case I can't say that. Achievements/Trophies aren't bad, but they aren't anywhere near make or break for me.
Excuse my ignorance, but from what you were saying (stuff like "turn the 3D on"), it seems like the 3D is optional. Is that the case, or were you just referring to an angle where you can see it?
@FlashMedallion: Though I still prefer OoT, to use most of the same assets while still making MM feel fresh, engaging, and believable is an impressive feat.
