<![CDATA[Comments from NoMoreTrolls]]> <![CDATA[Comments from NoMoreTrolls]]> <![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on BioShock PS3 Getting Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum Trophies]]> I'm definitely getting this game again, especially after I saw PSU's eyes-on impression of the game. Apparently, all the anti-aliasing issues with the 360 version have been ironed out due to the extra year in development, along with several other changes that make this game worth getting once more. I beat this game like 6 times on the 360, and have been waiting for an excuse to play it a few more times. The trophies and new carnival area look like just the type of excuse I've been waiting for.

Bioshock rules.

<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on What Did You Think Of The Too Human Demo?]]> To sum up my entire previous post... The game was meh. Not the worst thing you'll play, but far from the best.

]]>
<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on What Did You Think Of The Too Human Demo?]]> I thought it was pretty boring. Sorry to say that, because I was really looking forward to that game. Oh, well. I'll still rent it (gotta put that Gamefly account to good use), but I doubt I'll keep it long, having played the demo. The combat was awfully clunky and even more repetitive than Dynasty Warriors, the voice acting sucked, and the camera was terrible. On the plus side, the skill tree was pretty cool, and I'm sure I may spend a few hours loot hunting, but other than that, it was lackluster in the extreme.

<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on Nintendo Introduces Wii Motion Plus]]> OMFG! I really hope that this means that they'll make real 1:1 motion sword fighting games, not like Red Steel!

Maybe Red Steel 2 will use this periph (I certainly hope so... It'd give me more satisfaction with my purchase of a Wii... I've kinda been regretting it, due to the fact that the only games that have interested me so far are Mario Galaxy, No More Heroes, and SSB:B. Madworld looks okay, though. I just believe that buying a console for 4 games is somewhat a waste of money (I thought there'd be more games that interested me, like Project HAMMER (cancelled), Red Steel (not good), and a few others, but so far, I've been mistaken. And I'll be damned if I ever pick up any shit like Cooking Mama... That is not a fucking game.)...

<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on Too Human Demo - There's a]]> Oops... Lol wrong thread. This is what I get for having multiple windows open at Kotaku...

I'm downloading the demo now.

]]>
<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on Too Human Demo - There's a]]> @NoMoreTrolls: On topic, I really want those drum silencers... Damn, those things are loud. I piss off my parents every time I break them out.

]]>
<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on Too Human Demo - There's a]]> @Shandy706: Hmm... Yes, they only charge $50 a year while your cable company charges $50 a month, but think of this: You are paying Microsoft for a service that uses YOUR OWN INTERNET. It does not have dedicated servers and is nearly completely P2P, meaning that if you didn't pay that $50 a month for Broadband, IT WOULDN'T WORK. So, really, MS is charging you for a service that has been free on PC for years and is free on the PS3 (albeit with a few missing features, but hey, IT'S FREE). Does this mean that I don't have an Xbox Live account? Absolutely not. It's MetalChipsAhoy, if you want to add me. But it does mean that I lose $50 a year to play games online, something I can do on my PS3 for free (and on it, I have 3 accounts, so I can download all the stores' stuff--my main one is XxTheReaperxX, add me if you want), with a generally better result WHEN PLAYING A GAME (note: I didn't say when voice-chatting to friends or networking; I said when playing. I have never EVER experienced lag while playing a PS3 game online, while I have when playing titles for my 360, such as Halo 3, CoD4, GeOW, and many others. Was it constant lag? No. But at times, the lag got pretty bad and I'd have to turn off the game because I couldn't fucking kill the people seemingly teleporting all over the place. And don't tell me MY INTERNET is to blame. K? My friend has a fucking T1 connection and he still experiences lag. It's the result of the P2P network).

<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on Are The MGS4 Cutscenes Too Long?]]> Nope... Just right.

]]>
<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on Brace Yourself For This PSP]]> Lol that PSP sure looks like suki shite hahah.

]]>
<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on So Far, The Lowest MGS4 Review Score]]> Rofl. They can give their 8/10... the website is just dumb for handing off the review to someone who doesn't like the game. What they said about it did NOT show that it deserved an 8... their praise makes it seem like a 9, as even the large cutscene that they admonished the game for received praise.

This article (on Kotaku), on the other hand, seems to be a bit... out of place. I expect fanboyish articles like this one on Gametrailers.com, but I thought that they would not be present here... Let's not make it a habit, k?

]]>
<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on MGS4 Has 90-Minute Cutscenes [UPDATE]]]> That sounds pretty sweet (as long as the gameplay-cutscenes ratio is at least 1:1).

To the people complaining: That is why you are allowed to skip them. If you don't want to miss the story but feel like skipping, that is why we have internet. You'll be OK.

]]>
<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on Frankenreview, Haze (PS3)]]> On another note: The story is not "bad." I find myself intrigued and truly caring about Shane Carpenter as it is revealed just how deep Mantel's insidious operations go. If this story is bad, then Halo 3's story was a failure of epic proportions.

]]>
<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on Frankenreview, Haze (PS3)]]> I am enjoying it. IMO, the reviews do NOT do it justice. It seems as if all reviewers have moved on to holding CoD4 as the standard, which is just insipid, as CoD4 is a truly exceptional FPS. Instead of rating the game on how it is, all they seem to do is compare it to CoD4... but I repeat myself.

I find that it is a very fun game. Sure, it doesn't have the best graphics out there (but they are far from terrible). Sure, the dialogue occasionally annoys (but truly, it only annoys when you get stuck somewhere, as when moving they don't seem to talk as much). Does that make it a bad game? No.

IMO, it deserves at least a 7 (I'm rolling with an 8, but that's just my opinion).

<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on MS Still Thinks It Can Win The Console War, Xbox 360 Pushes Past 10 Million In U.S.]]> Ahem... PS3 is selling faster than 360, the 360 simply came out sooner (by 12 months...). Wait until the PS3 has reached the same age as the 360 (November this year), and then we'll compare the numbers to these. See if the PS3 doesn't outsell the 360... Which it probably will, if sales continue to be as strong for the PS3 as they currently are.

]]>
<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on SOE's Agency, Free Realms To Support Real Money Trading]]> If it is free to play, I could care less about microtransactions. If they aren't required, I don't need them. I'm sure you can still get different outfits/weapons for free, you just have to pay for certain ones... I don't need those specific ones, do I?

]]>
<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on My PlayStation 2.5]]> I think it is funny that you ALWAYS hear about broken PS3's, but broken 360's are taken as a matter of course. It sucks when your shit breaks, no matter what console it is.

Luckily for PS3 owners, the rate is less than 2%. And luckily for 360 owners, there is a 3 year warranty.

Both companies go about doing things in different ways. While Sony released a generally reliable piece of hardware, they gave it only a 1 year warranty (for that exact reason... it is generally reliable), whereas MS released an unreliable machine and extended the warranty instead of fixing the problem. Personally, I'd just as soon never deal with MS's customer service (you'd think it would be better with all of the practice they're getting), so I prefer Sony's method.

I'm sorry to hear about your inconvenience. Hopefully you get it back in a timely fashion.

]]>
<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on Aaron Greenberg Goes Berserk, Bites Sony In The Face]]> @Rectangle: The online for the PS2 was NOT meant to be structured like XBL, nor were Sony trying to develop it past a group of servers for certain games. Sorry, your observations are WRONG.

]]>
<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on Aaron Greenberg Goes Berserk, Bites Sony In The Face]]> As I read a little more... no sales lift after BR victory? Then why has the PS3 been outselling the 360 almost everywhere in the world for the last few months??

I call this PR failure.

]]>
<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on Aaron Greenberg Goes Berserk, Bites Sony In The Face]]> Rofl... only 5 million??? Didn't it get a FULL YEAR head start (in which it sold around 8)? His statements should actually make Sony happy, as their console has sold faster than the 360 WITH competition (something missing when MS released their product) and without a TON of games.

<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on You Can Buy Ninja Gaiden II Skins]]> Talk about microtransaction BUTTRAPE. Grr.

<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on Resistance 2 Gameplay, Killzone 2 Vid]]> balls187: As the 40 player Resistance 1 has had NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER, I assume that it will be fine. Where is your evidence that it will screw up?

Actually, you said (And I quote:) the games are "Overhyped and going to be gimmicky at best." and "Look girls, I just said that I bet both games would suck balls compared to COD4." Do you have some kind of short term memory loss??? Or are you just stupid? By the way, I am 17 (and it sure looks like you are dumber than me, not to be... never mind, I'm trying to be offensive. You are acting like a dumbass).

On the subject of maps: in Resistance 1, maps were made for differing numbers of characters (note: some maps/gametypes placed limits). Why assume that it won't happen in R2? You assume that there will be no small maps. That is stupid, sir. As difficult as it may be, you ASSUME (note that word) that it will all suck. As Insomniac did it right with R1, why assume the worst? Is it because you HOPE that it will suck???

Why not mention all of the games that were IMPROVED by their engines, you fanboyish prick? Because certain games got worse with new engines, ALL GAMES DO! Logic FTW! Jesus, are you really that dumb, or are you just trying to be a dick???

]]>
<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on Some New Killzone 2 Screens]]> Well, it's a good thing they're getting that time then, right, Kotaku? By the way... it's in PRE-ALPHA!!! Even as they are, the game looks better than anything I have played... check out the vids, it looks much better in motion.

]]>
<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on Resistance 2 Gameplay, Killzone 2 Vid]]> ^Exactly. I could give less than a shit about reviews.

Oh, and because of that, homernoy: KZ2 and R2 have the potential to suck. It's the truth. I doubt it, but there it is.

]]>
<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on Resistance 2 Gameplay, Killzone 2 Vid]]> Jesus Christ. This is flame-war central, isn't it?

balls187++: Shut the f*ck up. You haven't played the game, you are not the master of all things KZ2/R2, you don't know any more about them than we do. Why try to pretend that you do? Who knows, they may end up being better than CoD4! WE DON'T KNOW YET. You act as if you already know that it won't add anything to the franchise simply because you want to believe it... you have no evidence to support your claim, while others have plenty of evidence to support their claims that it will be better than R1 (and will possibly be ground-breaking). Would you like to hear some of it? Here you go:
R2 will have a more advanced engine than R1.
R2 will most likely have an increased number of available weapons (if one looks at Insomniac's track record, I believe that it is a pretty safe bet)
R2 will support 60 player, squad based online play (that beats the crap out of any console shooter so far, doesn't it? I'd call that groundbreaking)
R2 will also support 8 player class-based online co-op (see above parenthesis)
R2 will contain 2 complete (and separate) story modes, with partially randomized environments (in the online co-op)
R2 will utilize a level-up system (similar to the game that you praise so highly, CoD4 (which is awesome BTW))

What was it that makes it mediocre???

The same goes for KZ2. You don't know yet, and that video most definitely didn't do it justice (too little gameplay, HORRIBLE quality).

<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on What's Worse: RRoD or GTA IV Lockup?]]> And to add something else, as I cannot edit my comment:

This piece is either very biased or horribly written. It seems like the writer blames Sony for this mess (and also makes it seem as if the problem is only on Sony's console). Also, the title (and therefore the underlying claim) is just insipid. How are sporadic failures (you see, not MASS FAILURES or WIDESPREAD, ACROSS THE BOARD failures) at all comparable to the 360's massive (and entirely unacceptable) failure rate???

Answer me that. And Brian, shame on you. Reading comprehension on YOUR PART may be absent, but as the grand majority of users on this site have come to the same conclusion, I assume that the problem is with the writing, not US.

]]>
<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on What's Worse: RRoD or GTA IV Lockup?]]> Hmm, let me think... RRoD, by far!

This lock-up is not only a problem due to Sony's actions but also due to Rockstar's programming. As Sony's console doesn't do this with any other game (to my knowledge), the blame rests mostly with R*... not Sony. Conversely, RRoD can happen at any time, while playing any game. Whether it occurs due to shoddy materials, bad design, or just because MS rushed the system into the market without due testing, it is one of the most embarrassing electronic failures that I have witnessed (in console gaming). It used to affect 1 out of every 3 consoles, and apparently now it affects 1 out of every 6 (around there is what I keep hearing about the Falcons...). The blame rests solely with MS and can happen to every 360 owner, and therefore it is a much more vexing problem.

<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on Crecente, N'Gai Talk GTA 4]]> @mcool93: Well, my PS3 has rumble, as I have the Dualshock 3. And the DLC won't be coming out till august or something like that, so many people will already be done with the game by then (die-hard fans and those who are waiting excepted, of course). Achievements have never really meant much to me, so, taking all of those things into account, I'm getting it on my PS3 instead of my 360. (I may rent it on 360 when the DLC comes out, depending on how spectacular it is (I'm sure it'll be great) and depending on if I'm tired of GTA. I love the games, but I don't know how long I'm going to love this one.) Getting the PS3 special edition tonight at midnight! Hell yes!

<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on Texas Shooting 'Game Related'?]]> Yeah, man! I capped this one fool in the head because he was frontin' and I was like: Fool, I learned this from Ridge Racer 7!

Seriously. How could that be at all related to God of War, a title without guns or even the HINT of guns present at all in the game? God, people are stupid these days. I think I have officially lost all hope in humanity.

<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on Sony's Wise-Ass XMB Shirts]]> Rofl. That's freakin hilarious!

]]>
<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on Lost Odyssey Impressions]]> I am probably getting this sometime this week, but now that I see the amount of cutscenes, I find myself wondering. 20 minutes without gameplay is a bit extreme IMO. Also... if this game can take upwards of 100 hours (for a huge JRPG fan like myself who wants to have everyone MAXED OUT in every way, will do all of the side-quests, etc), I feel quite a bit of fear. I am on my 3rd 360, and I am afraid that so much playing will destroy my Xbox...

I'll probably still get it, though.

<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on Enhanced Crysis Rumored For PlayStation 3]]> I hate it that everyone pretends to know just what the PS3 is capable of. Quite frankly, NO ONE KNOWS as of now, expecially not users on a gaming website (I am not claiming to know, mind you). PCs and the PS3 run COMPLETELY DIFFERENTLY (or so I have heard in numerous places... almost too many to count), so why even try to make a comparison? Shit, people, why do you all (not literal) feel that you NEED to shoot down every single good *rumor* about the PS3? Does it physically hurt to to see good news for PS3 owners? If the rumor claimed multi-plat, then many of you (the ones I am talking about... the fanboys) would eat it up and celebrate. Why must your hatred of the PS3 ruin everyone else's joy?
/rant

I honestly hope that this is true, because then I will get to actually play Crysis (my PC is a piece of crap).

]]>
<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on Resistance 2 Interviews, Hotness Alluded]]> Wow. The PS3 seems to be FPS heaven this year: Haze, KZ2, MGS4 (FPS mode kinda allows it into the category IMO), and now Resistance 2? Not to mention all of the other exellent-looking games coming out? Looks like it will be a great year for the PS3.

]]>
<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on Enhanced Crysis Rumored For PlayStation 3]]> Even though there is no proof: Sounds good!
I don't get it though... how can people say yea or nay if it has not been confirmed/debunked? Seriously people, give it a chance to play out. Also, as the PS3 runs completely differently than a computer, who knows what is possible on it? Wait and see. This may end up being total bullshit. Hopefully it's not.

]]>
<![CDATA[NoMoreTrolls commented on Sony Launches "Largest" Hardware Ad Campaign]]> @y2julio: The 80 GB PS3 is at $499. It comes with the 80GB PS3 (With BC, mind you), a game, a controller, and all of the other necessities. Judging by your previous comments, I am going to assume that you are going to make some "damn that is too expensive" rant in response to this, but if you think about it, it is a hell of a deal. Look at what you get for your money. If you feel that it isn't worth it, good for you, but I think that if Sony is losing money on every PS3 sold, we as consumers are getting quite a deal.
