Because it originated here? Japan needs to have a bit more respect for the genres they have no knowledge about. People here seem to treat Japan like some kinda of demi-god like they do no wrong. People mock American cartoons trying to be anime, and they wont accept it simply because it wasnt done in Japan. I dont see why we cant bring this thinking to our own creations. Japan takes a lot of ideas from America and people just dont seem to realize its happening.

@mintfresh: Wow someone else that doesnt understand role playing games. The actor analogy doesnt work. Real RPG's (table top/WRPG's) first and foremost let you create your own character any way you want. Its YOUR OWN role. Actors dont get to make up their own role their paid to play as one. So in essence your analogy works for JRPG's. Thanks for the help! :)
