"@Foxstar Sixtail: But by that logic, shouldn't more third party publishers be pushing bigger games on the Wii? I mean, corporations like Activision have proven that they care for nothing but money, so why would they keep pushing their major titles like Call of Duty and James Bond on the 360/PS3 if the Wii was a much more viable market? From Activision all the Wii seems to get is ports of their music games and iterations of Tony Hawk, and we're currently far enough into the console's lifecycle that we should be seeing a lot more big deal games from them if they really believed the console was their major moneymaker."

"You know, the one assumption everyone who seems to say this makes is that casual gamers are going to continue to spend enough money to support and buoy an entire industry of video gaming indefinitely. Interestingly enough, everyone who says this also seems to think that the gaming public as a whole is also going to start mass embracing third party casual game publishers/developers, which, funnily enough, happen to be exactly type of corporations the people who make these statements run. These assumptions and coincidences I'm sure have nothing to do with their ideal world of business and completely to do with deep, objective analysis of market conditions and trends in a scientific fashion."

"@okenny :) ...building bridges (to hide under): I'm assuming people didn't realize it was an MMO and thought that Sony was giving a game with 256 people playing at once for free, thus making the game significantly less cool to them now. Getting to play a 256 person game for free on hosted servers would have also been a big shiny feather in PSN's hat, and that also flies out the window with this. Of course I'm just guessing, but it's my best guess."
