Doesn't Kinect use infrared beams to sense the persons location? Cause paranormal investigators tend to use infrared a lot; so if you believe in ghosts it is pretty likely that Kinect could see them.
[www.liparanormalinvestigators.com] "Based on research and discussions it appears that entities, ghosts, spirits etc. are more sensitive to being seen in IR light than UV light. This is in line with another theory that ghosts move very quickly through our space. A high speed object would be better illuminated with a low frequency/long wave light source than a high frequency/short wave source. It is also possible that whatever the composition of ghosts is (including ectoplasm) is more sensitive to reflecting IR light."
@pinshot: Any SMB game. Seriously, the shit Mario has to go through just for a piece of cake or a kiss on the cheek is bloody ridiculous. Dunno why he still puts up with Peach.
@Squirrelbot3000: Huge overreaction. The girl was getting whiny and loud. There's an annotation that says he flicked the side of her hand. Kids that age will bawl over the tiniest scratches and she didn't have any reaction but a very delayed 'that hurt', so I believe him. It's kind of like in horror movies how sometimes they'll cut away from the action to leave it to your imagination, and in some ways that makes it a lot more frightening, only here there really doesn't seem to be anything too serious going on off camera. Just a bunch of overimaginative kids on YouTube looking to cause problems for people if you ask me.
@Kevek90: You can do it in CoD. Use an explosive class, jump into a hardcore game mode, and then use a rocket launcher to blow up your whole team on spawn. It's super effective in Search and Destroy where you only get one life.
In MW2, the riot shield is a great way to trap people in corners for the rest of the match; teammate or otherwise.
Hello LifeHacker folks. I heard on Kotaku that if you use classic.jalopnik.com you can access the normal Gawker layout (works for io9 as well). Is there any way to make it so that by browser will go to the classic layout on Gawker pages by default? A greasemonkey script perhaps?
@JayUnrealVille: It's hardly different from their current system, frankly. Neither Bell nor Rogers even have a plan for unlimited bandwidth; and the speed:bandwidth ratio for each plan is completely ridiculous. I forget the exact numbers but I heard you can hit your usage limit within 6 hours of downloading at max speed on their best plan. People I know who are signed up to them rarely go a month without an overhead charge; even the light internet users. A few months ago I had some representative from Mobilicity come to the store that I work at to talk to us about selling phones for them. As he tells it, a lot of phone companies from the US are expanding into Canada to pick up the slack of Bell and Rogers mistakes. Bell currently has a bit of a monopoly on high speed internet but I don't think it'll take much for another corporation to challenge that in court; especially since companies coming from the states have probably had more success in the past decade thanks to better business models (Comcast excluded) and are some of the first companies that could actually pose a threat to the powerhouse.
