Not Just Cause 2? That's weird.
@gearsofhalogeek: I'm not debating the fact that video games are seen as a 'shotgun approach' (bad term to use and no offense meant whatsoever) for blame, nor am I saying that other forms of media aren't to blame (for goodness sakes, Mein Kampf?!?!), but for SiN13 to say that Kotaku is 'making up some article' just to boost their google search numbers is ridiculous, especially since the WSJ and the Arizona Republic are 2 news sources that reported it first.

Ironically, it is very similar to people hearing about a terrorist attack and their first thought being 'Muslim'. Media seems to have gotten over that (at least for the moment from what I can tell (or until the next attack)), they just need to get over it when it comes to 'Gamer'.

Do I think they will? Possibly. It used to be that when someone first heard that someone had AIDS that they would think 'Homosexual'. Are we past that?

Right now it's cool for gaming to be blamed. Is it right? No. Does that mean Kotaku shouldn't report the connection by two relaible sources? No. They have every right, even if Sin13 doesn't think so.
@SiN13: Wow. The fact that other news articles have mentioned it wouldn't have anything to do with Kotaku posting it on their Video Game Blog would it?

It's not Kotaku linking it to video games, it's other agencies. So please, with all due respect, SHUTTIE!
@Heliophage: Unfortunately, we'll probably all be dead by then.

@Maxis47: That's right, we are the best pitching staff and will beat up anyone who says otherwise. Especially Mutt and Yankme fans.
apparition seen entering room at the end of the video...
@UnkleBuck: Actually, I think the first on eis Mel Gibson's tirade to his ex-girlfriend/wife. That's what I took it as.
@supo: Toronto still has a hockey team that actually plays? SHOCKING! (go Flyers)
@Andizee: Yes, it's $60, but comes with a play and charge kit standard. So really, it's not that bad a deal.
@diagorus: defeatist attitude? Where to start. There is a large difference between creating a universe and getting computers to be able to talk to each other.

Nowhere do I bash science (as you bash the thought of a creator), I simply state that I feel that creating the origins of the universe isn't definable (or achievable) in human standards. I am interested in what they find (although admittedly I don't think it will be much), I'm just concerned about the bias that may be spun on what they find. Scientists become like politicians anymore in trying to take interpretations of what they think they see and have it fit into the mold of big bang, evolution, or whatever else they want to.
@thehollowman: And that to a point is the point I'm trying to make. $6 Billion dollars...I could think of better things to do than the LHC while grasping at straws.
@talkingmike: Basically, yes. That's because they are interpretations of facts and not facts that I feel can stand on their own.

To me, creation of the universe isn't definable in human standards. Science tries and tries, and theories come and go. I don't really think they get too far.
While I am interested in the collider, I don't think they will ever figure anything out.

Personally, believing in a Creator makes it difficult for me to see what science can prove or utilize with the data that they are gathering to be of any use.

I get what they are trying to do, just don't understand how they justify this small matter being able to evolve into matter as we know it today.
@dude3516: Quick! Someone work on a patch for the posting!
I guess my question is that why wouldn't Lee want to go after violent movies as well.
@achilleselbow: Unfortunately, the answer is yes. Some parents have little control or care in regards to their kids. It appears that they want the government to raise them, feed them, clothe them, educate them, teach them morals, sex education, drivers education, how to be an adult, teach them the differences between right and wrong, fantasy and reality, appropriateness and inappropriateness.

Of course, the prerequisite for this would be that the government has their crap together which unfortunately is not the case...our government has become amoral, weak-kneed and self-serving. It is more about getting votes and how one looks than it is bettering the country.

It really is very sad...
