One of my regulars did some of the facial animation at his studio in Manchester U.K. He is a huge 360 fan and said that this will tip the balance of which platform can produce better graphics when it comes out.

He went on to say it's not about the high res textures, but the amount of stuff going on in each frame. The whole level seems alive as you play it. Not just a bunch of static buildings with people shooting each other in them. Real time physics on the scenery around you that are moved by the elements. The weather also plays a big part in the single player campaign thanks to the Helghast Lightening guns.

I can't wait for this!

I'm a PSP gamer at the moment, but if this does happen I might have to go for a DS again.

The PSP can do a shit load of stuff like video calls, music, movies web browsing and so on. this is why i'm still using it.

I put my DS down a long time ago, Soon after New Super Mario Bros. came out, The draw of the million and one RPGs being released didn't do it for me. If the new DS comes with these new features i might be picking one up again.

OK! let us have a look at xbox live and their MMO games...

You pay £40 a year flat rate and if you want to play PSO or FFXI you have to pay a further fee.

With playstation network you get no initial fee, but if you want to play their MMO games you may have to pay a fee.

What the hell is the point that all you idiots beating the xbox live drum are trying to make?

I think this concept would be pretty amazing on any console. Shame on xbox live for being so cheap that the whole network runs on P2P networking. Maybe when the next xbox comes comes out they wil spend some money on some decent dedicated servers. Until then xbox live is sereously handicapped in terms of network gaming.

To think people pay money for that shit.

The "lock up" is a seconds pause whilst your friends list is registering a new friend either going on or off line. It is not a total crash. The game, for some reason waits for updates from your friends list. Other games have done this in the past and have been patched successfully. Mine has done it.

I have over 50 friends on my friends list.

Maybe I have so many friends on my friends list because I live in Europe where the PS3 is doing much better than the 360, speak more than one language and not a zenaphobe...

I can't wait for this.

A lot of peeps are complaining about this just being about creating your own game and not much else, but there are over 50 levels at launch together with the thousands of people making their own levels. I'm sure there will be some decent playing time for the lazy gamers out there.

I find it amazing that there are actually 8 cores, but one is shut off during the testing of each console. This increases the yield rate for the chips.
