@Manly_McBeeferton: Black people are a rare occurrence at these happenings. Also a weaboo in black face wouldn't fly too well.
@toadstoolporridge: Hey I know all about though decision on spending some change in this economy. I kind of that was the reason you were postponing buying the system, but there are some fanboys in here that give merit to a 360 title but do to their bizarre hatred will mention that they don't want to buy a 360 for some stupid reason or another.
@toadstoolporridge: I don't get this type of attitude that permeates Kotaku. I mean if you are avoiding temptation to buy a 360 due to potential financial stress that's one thing, but if you have been avoiding the 360 all this time due to some silly peer pressure or because of some stupid arbitrary issue like OMG it might red ring on me or its Microsoft then its your loss because it has been hands down the best system I have ever owned, and I am a PS3 owner too.
@Nowell: Really now? I work with some Japanese and the humility is a clever disguised cloak. Quit putting certain cultural idiosyncrasies above others, it makes you sound like an uneducated tool.
@Andronix: Kool Aid much? Your little analysis of marketing speak is a great example of selective cognitive recognition of bullshit. Let me break it down for you... A. Xbox fanboy: "OMG! The Gran Turismo guys are so out of touch and arrogant they don't recognize their fast approaching competetion!" B. Sony fanboyt: "OMG Turn 10 is taking extreme pride in their product by thinking they made the best racing game ever! How arrogant!" There is a certain segment in Kotaku, I shall not describe this segment for risk of bannination, which takes into account the cultural differences between developers and chooses one above all else as being supreme and beyond reproach. The Gran Turismo vs Forza 3 argument has made it even more noticeable. Guess what I played the Forza 3 demo it is friggin spectacular! You should try it your prejudices would probably be put away at least until Sony decides to release Gran Turismo. The fact that Turn 10 has put out two worthy competitors in a span of three years to Gran Turismos crown should be seen as an achievement in gaming and not a topic of unbridled scorn. We all now have the opportunity to play two premier racing games, how is that a bad thing now?
@Kougeru: Avast ye faceless troll!
@WhiteMage: The comments in that video you just linked made me lose 75 IQ points which also numerically is the same amount of years it set back race relations.
Maybe the disdain for JRPG's has probably more to do with their fanbase than the actual games themselves? I've never met such a loyal, rabid fanbase that at the same time seems so insular, stubborn, niche, and dramatic. Fans of JRPG's and Japanese gaming in general have a chip on their shoulder, which can be justifiable at times but damn can it be one big ass chip sometimes.
@Ceiling90: And not all videogame companies out of Japan want to make turn based, sword waving, effeminate bitch boy games that only appeal to weebos and culturally stagnant fanboys.

Two can play at lame generalizations.

Is EA still using video of the 360 & PS3 version to sell the Wii version in its commercials?

I recall seeing one for this year and they are. No shame. Someone should sue.

@-MasterDex-: Why is he a troll? Because *GASP* god forbid Winter spent $1500 or more on a nice tv setup and doesn't want the Wii version muddying up his screen?

Stop being so butthurt its ok to like nice graphics you know. If it wasn't for gamers who appreciate the visual progression of our medium we would still be playing an SNES.

@ahmeng: Lack of technical capability? Kojima's bread and butter in terms of producing a grand spectacle are his use of cut scenes. Molyneux's gameplay is much more technically varied than Kojima's MSG4. Other than the camo everything is still pretty much the same from the previous Metal Gear games.

Both games are great and comparing them is like comparing apples and oranges, but Metal Gears technical prowess is exhibited more through parts of the game I cannot play.

@WillSerenity: Ha ha this post made my day.

Bottom line I think Sony has been very reactionary this generation. If you remember Sony set the tempo and rules with the PS2 this generation they have been playing catch up with the 360. That fact alone has hurt many fanboys' pride and turned off those who feel the PS3 "has copied" xbox.

I love my PS3 and I love my 360. They should make babies.

I expect a little phone call from the Pixar legal team of all stars for the interpretation of the Martians from this outfit.
@HunterZ: Bethesda is in a panic. HunterZ has decided not purchase the DLC!

Quick Bethesda ask for a bailout!!!!!!!

@Foxstar Sixtail: Kotaku has been infested with PS3 fairies. A PS3 fairy is a basement dwelling jerk off who is worst than a fanboy because he complains about exclusive DLC that was announced by Rockstar or Bethesda months before the release of Fallout 3 and GTAIV.

Microsoft has every right to make exclusive deals. Where are the complaints about Metal Gear Solid IV staying exclusive? Its made by Konami right? Whats the difference there?

Can't wait to hear the stupid excuses...

Bunch of children.

@Nightshift Nurse: Mile High Colonic: We are just discussing our favorite hobby here so no need to assume a battle of cultural superiority here. Growing up in the 80's post Atari I realized the influence Japan had on Nintendo and the Genesis. Japanese game designers could do no wrong and I think them for creating such wonderful memories, however why can't the same be said for the success of western gaming at the moment? Its not a slap in the face to Japan to say that we are possible in the golden age of western game design without sounding nationalistic?
@Nightshift Nurse: Mile High Colonic: Sounds like you have some sort of complex.

JRPGS and Japanese games are shifting closer into niche status around these parts. Its just the way it is. Like how most western games are niche status in Japan. When the west gets criticized for not embracing Japanese titles then naturally you'll see a counter backlash against the Japanese for being "nationalistic" and not embracing the "shooters".

That is why its nice to see a developer like Capcom. They kind of settle the debate for all of us by providing awesome titles to appease both the east and the west successfully. So I wish that in the future for the sake of harmony amongst the community that many more companies adopt Capcom's model.

Or else we will continue to see little boys in cosplay outfits representing some obsucre Japanese anime character shouting out us about how Japanese culture is superior to the west.

Just kidding Nurse...
