@mr_godot: Reading the filing, there are some very, very serious allegations Activision is making against the two. That basically they wanted to deny all the other IW'ers from receiving bonus compensation. And that if any compensation was awarded, only they two would receive it. Someone is lying through their teeth. And I think there's an argument that Activision is doing this to peddle to the existing Infinity Ward employees.
No matter how many times I see that little girl get photochoped, it never gets old.
@chrollo0427: Mmm, I like it. Sounds like my kind of ladies. Especially the girls that you could tell were pretty once. But as they've gotten older have put on some hard miles/kilos...yea. Note to all the young mens reading this. A hooker's services are best acquired late in the month. Most Federal and State assistance programs usually dole out at the 1st of the month. So if you're low on cash, hit the stable around the 22nd or so. You'll be able to get more for money. ...or so I've heard.
How it really went down: Alright you bastards! I want the cheat codes for all Eagles! Par 9 and I slice into the woods? DON'T GIVE A SHIT GIVE ME AN EAGLE! Cough up the codes or else you'll be coughing on some dudes hairy nuts in county! Yea that's right I'm talking to you Mr. Plaid jacket dood!
@Hagane17: *shrug* I remember things panning out differently. The rules for a qualifying score were constantly "bent" to favor Mr. Mitchell. I forget his name but the underdog sent in a tape of his play, only to be rebuffed because his system board wasn't certified, or some such thing. When Billy the Mitchell did the same thing, on a questionable tape, they certified the results lickity split. Even one of the certifying officials resigned in protest. Again like I said in my original post, it's a documentary so who really knows what's going on. Even ignoring the obvious bias in the documentary (pro underdog guy, anti Mitchell/Twin Galaxies), there was still enough evidence to call into question some of the decision making. /Walter may be salt of the earth people who's got unyielding ethics and morals. I've personally never met the man.
He and his organization didn't come out smelling like roses in the "King of Kong" documentary. It's a documentary so who knows what the hell was really going on. But it does caste doubt on Twin Galaxies integrity.
@Zeidust: I can dig on that. Lord knows I've been known to whine. And there were times I got pissed off at the country I lived in. What stuck in my craw was poo-pooing the Japanese socializing events. These people party hard and they're so super friendly and giving to friends. Reading that part pissed me off.
I wonder if they'll come out with additional DLC, that let's the pre-order DLC'ers skip all the above.
@tim rogers: What do you expect? Mr. Rogers I've been there, done that. The smoking stuff I can understand, I felt the same. Try countries like Turkey, where they give you no such courtesies as non-smoking. I'm not trying to downplay the importance of wheat to your pallet or your safety. But to shit all over the socializing and bonding aspects of the Japanese culture, makes you out to be a massive, overly sensitive vagina. There are good days and bad days being an expat, especially when you do it for a considerable period. But don't fool yourself, wherever you move. You're just setting down one big ass bag of smelly bullshit and picking up another. And personally, I think you've accidently filed "Super awesome, great thing about living here" in "big ass bag of smelly bullshit".
Please don't move your pussy ass back to the U.S. Or if you do, buy a cabin in the woods and be the socially retarded introvert your own column makes you out to be. What a wuss.
I don't see Activision losing any control whatsoever of the CoD and MW IPs. What I do see as a possibility is, that because of the lawsuit both get tied up. As the court decides who legally owns/controls them. With West and whats his nuts, filing an injunction (?) to stop Activision from developing and releasing any titles concerning the two, until the court case is decided. Regardless, if this lawsuit gets any kind of legs underneath it, Activision's stock value will take a kick in it's tally whacker.
No, it's because this mother f'ing game is gonna set you on FIYA! /Got nuffin
The Western market and decline of sales in Japan. Have dragged Japanese developers kicking and screaming to the shooter genre. A category that has long been widely ignored in their home market. So it'll be interesting to see some interesting innovations (I hope) with their different perspective of the genre.
I'm amazed at all the people who hold up Alice as this triumph of game design. It was fucking boring! I still have the original PC disk and pewter Cheshire Cat figurine. The play was formulaic and outright lame. The level design was dated, even when it came out. The only cool thing about it was the art design, which was great. That's about it. American McGee is a hack and the fact that Alice is held up as his golden standard attests to that. So go ahead and flame me but someone had to say it.
I'd play Call of Duty, Know Nothing. Call of Kindergarten Cop
@krishna830: And the insubordination is because when directed to, they didn't share.
