Hey Kyle, I had an MGO question I was hoping you could answer for me. This may be long. : /
During my play in the beta I noticed I haven't quite "got it" yet in terms of actually scoring kills. I guess its the new feel thats throwing me off. I'm emptying clips and killing no one. Seemingly failure proof sniper head shots are hitting air. And one thing I want to make clear is that I'm not bitching about the game because I know its ME who sucks.
So last night after another round of getting my ass handed to me my brother suggested using Auto Aim because everyone else on the field was using it and it seemed to be the "key" to being "good" in the game. I didn't want to because I thought of it as kinda cheap and overall cheating. I mean wheres the skill in shooting with an auto aim feature?
SO I noticed in a comment that you were telling people to cease auto aiming. I remember in the first MGO people you yell and scream over the mic that auto aim was cheating and more often than not a kickable offense. So what I'm wondering is what am I doing wrong? Is the beta buggy? (probably not) Maybe I'm getting thrown off between having to click between first and third person. Maybe the wrong skills? Should I stay as still as possible when firing in first person so its more like MGS3? I'm completely lost and I'm having trouble explaining myself. Which is why I wrote as much as could to make it clear. Ugh, sorry if this comes as an annoyance but I only ask because the Kotaku seems to be one of the few that have an actual sense of community.
:"Most of SONY exclusives so far have charted poorly but have been selling in the long run. Motostorm for example charted pretty badly and just hanged around low on the sales charts, but it has sold over 1.5 million worldwide still, and the same with Resistance which has done over 2 million worldwide. These games didn't open to blockbuster numbers but have continually sold over the months, and have accumulated lot of sales. Uncharted I think should do just fine"
So what is this now about UT3 selling poorly on the PC as opposed to the PS3? Rationalization seems to be your drug of choice Kyle.
