    O2 bought Be in 2006. I'm just slightly wary that O2 might have restrictions, since they are a phone company and all.

    Also, if you've you've tried the that is '8meg broadband', then you'll know that your speed won't change much, whichever provider you go with. If you haven't, and are worried, there are plenty of online calculators to work it out for you.

    No problem. :)

    I was going to reply in the comments, but there's so many that you might now have noticed (ISP caps).

    Be wary of unlimited providers: even BT have 'unlimited' offerings; which are, in fact, not (hint: it's usually in the Fair Usage Policy). Some expensive DSL companies might do real unlimited, but from what I've heard, Be (or bethere) are the only (cheaper) company who have never acted on high-bandwidth users.

    @Krondonian:

    Hey mate!

    I just read your message.

    My comment regarded your economic knowledge, not your general knowledge. You're probably a great guy and good at many things, its just i think i know more about economics having studied it for many years. Thats all.

    sweden is a good example. during its largely 30 years of socialdemocratic rule, it went from the wealthiest country in the world per capita to like number 50. in the last few years unemployment ravaged the economy and the social democrats were ousted for a right leaning government that could fix the economy.

    regardless. i dont think we'll ever agree on economic issues. thats ok tho, i enjoyed discussing it with you.

    take it easy,

    Pete
