"I was looking forward to this game and started to wonder if it was actually going to come out as I was a big fan of GunGrave and Shadow Hearts Now?"

      • KraZe commented on Execution Tests Your Conscience, Not Your Reflexes

"Meh. The game gives you no reason for why you have "lost" other than that it has told you so and that you can never "win" without what amounts to cheating after completion of the set task. As far as I'm concerned, as there is no effect of my actions, I have completed a task and there is no more to do after that thus my supposed loss is a real completion of the game, whereas in a win, there is left a man on a pole suffering forevermore. I wish these things would stop showing up for people to read some sort of deep meaning into."

      • KraZe commented on A 70-year-old's Take on GTA IV

"Thanks for this story Crecente, things like this are why Kotaku is so great. It's always an interesting experience to see a family member get so caught up in a game. My dad was a big influence on my introduction to gaming culture, showing me how to work the NES, using gaming mags to bribe me into doing well in school... His last reintroduction to gaming was Gungriffon Blaze on the PS2. It started with a simple breakdown of how to work the controls, what all the little power-ups meant and those simple things. He's never been good on the reaction time or manuvers, but he tries his best and damn if he isn't the most entertaining person I know to see play a game. By the end of the week, I see him come in the door from work, set down his bag and before doing anything else, pop on the console to try and get past where he was stuck..."

"No offense to my fellow commenters or this site, but I felt Destructoid covered the matter well enough and I saw the rant before the story on here so I don't really want to dip my hands in it. I would like to say one thing on the matter."
