I was disappointed in the fact that because the game was pushed back, they pushed the time on when you can reserve the collector's edition. It should have ended in January like it was originally set. Yes...I am one of those that feels microscopically better for purchasing a collector/limited edition of a game or movie. I don't buy a lot of games, but when I do, I like to go all out. I know this game will probably be another Red Dead Redemption in the making, another spectacular game that is relatively under the radar. Most of the people that go to my GameStop are all about the new Naruto or Ghost Recon or Street Fighter X Tekken. But no one seems interested in Max Payne. It will probably be the same as RDR in that once people started buying it and playing it, word got around at how awesome it was and more people started picking it up.
I'm just glad they're moving away from Ezio. He's a nice character, but I don't feel much was added in the two additional expansions. I'm ready for a whole new character and setting.
On my days off when I hang out at the store and they pull this shit, the manager (my friend since high school) will say that I'll be taking care of them personally...in my van...around back of the store. Then I usually rattle off something like "You got a purdy mouth" and they usually take their kids.
I definitely cheered. Our store is notorious for this crap. We're located in a strip mall with a grocery store as the main building. Parents will go to the grocery store and leave the children at GameStop to do stare at the displays and play the demo system. We could get kids to leave by hitting the "Kick Out" switch which would turn off the demo station through the circuit breaker, but we were able to get a few to stop after we told the parents we would call CPS and have them take care of their kids. We've had kids in our store for like 5 hours without their parents; kids as young as 4-5 years old. Its insane how some parents think its ok to ditch their kids.
What about just taking the South Park idea and make that section into a brawler and let him fight his wife.
I thought the same as well. Maybe if the newest South Park game is a hit, Trey and Matt will go ahead and make a BASEketball game.
Its really going to hurt me to not pick this console up since my wife and I picked up the last two special edition consoles (Gears of War 3 version for me and MW3 for her). Maybe the old one will have an "accident" and we'll be forced to get it.
And David Jaffe made the worst mistake ever in this kind of situation. Never, EVER, go the route of saying the people you have offended are your best friends. I doesn't matter if what you said was about a different race, religious group, or the opposite sex, it just makes you look more like a bigot. I like David Jaffe, he's created some extraordinary games, but every once and a while we all wonder what its like to put our foot in our mouth.
Its the 320GB version and most people will care less about the game and more about the R2 themed console.
I actually am set up on a desk. I can play games on a couch, but I always feel like I begin to slump into it and not play as well. If I'm playing a game like Skate by myself, its OK, but I can't play a multiplayer game that way. I'm on a single monitor now and I'm running my console and PC through an HDMI switch so its a painless process of switching between them. If I add a second console, I may go to a two monitor set-up so I can dedicate one screen for the consoles and one for the PC. I also like having the space the desk provides. I'm able to get most of my collector edition statues on there and show them off.
Well...I guess I can finally kiss my social life away. With Soul Calibur V coming out yesterday, I spent an hour and a half creating a new character. I hadn't done anything else in the game except find where the character creator was. This will end up consuming me. And the tool looks so damn intuitive. Its essentially the developers saying "Hey, you think you can do better? Here's the tools." The is just amazing and I can't wait for it to be released.
The beta was fun. The game is pretty goofy and there are some interesting game types, but they need to fix the stability of the games. There have been games where things feel like everyone is running in mud. Outside of that, its a fun shooter.
Awesome story. It nice to see an alternative to used for pain management then just more drugs. Having seen what morphine can do to someone with cancer, let alone a person that has a higher probability of returning to a somewhat normal life, these type of alternatives should be options at more locations. Morphine can deaden the pain where you can't feel it anymore, but it can also sap you of any energy to do anything, depending on the dosage. Also, these alternative seems less likely that the user will grow a dependency on it. As his flexibility grows, he may branch out to other games outside of his normal therapy in order to assist him.
So we've come back full circle now and blindly blaming games is now the #1 item lawyers will be going to? It's been a while since I heard of someone explicitly saying that video games created this monster. I miss Jacko too and his relentless crusade to bring down video games, because most knew he didn't have an ice cube's chance in Hell of succeeding. This...this is just lazy. "This kid is crazy...but only acted upon it because of VIDEO GAMES!" Also calling him a 19 year old "man" is insulting to actual men. A man-child maybe, not a full fledged man.
From what I understand, its a pretty quick process now. They say at least 15 days for the account to be locked out and for the investigation to commence, but 48 hours is super quick turn around. But something happened to her account to where she lost access to her Xbox Live account and Live email account.
Yup, he was involved in an altercation and someone shot him in the face. And yes she does.
Well the guy that stole my stuff was found murdered, so that issue was quickly squared. I guess I didn't convey my point well earlier. I will let my wife borrow my games, but she prefers to have her own because if its a game I like and want to play, she doesn't want to wait for me to finish before she can get her turn. And some of the games we like to play together, like Call of Duty, in some case two separate copies of the game were required to play together online. And we both don't care to share screens.
Impressive...yet also concerning. Within 48 hours, my wife's account went from recent hacking victim to "Here's your points back. Sorry about the intrusion. and how about some extra XBL time." Its impressive that this issue was handled so quickly, but also concerning in that this case must look like a bunch of others so they were able to quickly determine the root cause. I've been a fan of Microsoft's system since the original Xbox. No particular reason over another, I was just drawn to it. But my loyalty is a little shaken. As I mentioned before, I want to feel, as an Xbox Live Gold Member, is secure when I go online. I want to know the points I purchased, I the movies and games I download, my game saves and all the other miscellaneous items I get are secure. There's no reason to have a password system that allows you to try a billion times before its correct. It should be limited to a few tries before its locked for a few minutes. After couple 15 minute lock-outs, an email is sent to the user informing them that either they or someone has been attempting to log into their account, but has failed and the system will be locked out for 24 hours unless the real user can respond to the email and verify if they were the one's attempting to access the account or not. It sounds a bit much, but considering how much Microsoft initially downplayed the situation, the only response is if they go over the top. #speakup
THANK YOU! I knew someone would know the song. Now I feel bad for not downloading the album when I had a chance.
My rule of lending out games is that I don't. Not even within my own home. My wife has her own copies of all the games she wants to play. If my sister came to me and asked to borrow a game, its a flat no. That because I know she's very irresponsible. How? She has literally snapped a game in half because she couldn't get it out of the case correctly. So yeah. And she's had dumbass boyfriends steal from me. And not just a game or two, I mean, raid my whole room take an Xbox and PS2 (this was a few years ago), and all my games. So I trust no one unfortunately.
