<![CDATA[Comments from Johnny Pathetic]]> <![CDATA[Comments from Johnny Pathetic]]> <![CDATA[Johnny Pathetic commented on Let The Public Shaming Begin]]> It's a shame this guy spoiled the fun Ashcraft, but veiled threats concerning the release of his personal information? What fucking nerve you Kotaku editors have.

<![CDATA[Johnny Pathetic commented on Jack Tretton Says Dropping BC Wasn't For Cost Measures]]> @incredibilistic: No shit it isn't news. Microsoft never hyped BC as a selling point, nor did they abandon the feature for a greater attach rate.

]]>
<![CDATA[Johnny Pathetic commented on Sony Could Run BC On 40GB PS3s. They Just Don't Want To.]]> This isn't spin, and the Sony sycophants need to stop saying it is.

Sony touted BC as a major selling point with the PS3, going so far as to criticize other consoles for not having it. Now they're saying it isn't important. What the hell do you call that?

<![CDATA[Johnny Pathetic commented on CliffyB Talks Gears of War PC]]> I can't seriously believe there are any 360 users who give a shit about added Gear's content. The campaign was horrible. Multiplayer was that title's only saving grace.

The U3 editor, on the other hand, is something worth crying over. PC users are going to have a lot of fun with it... all 7 of them.

<![CDATA[Johnny Pathetic commented on The Biggest Entertainment Launch In History]]> What a bunch of haters.

170 million dollars in 24 hours is nothing short of amazing. Even assuming that everyone bought in on the legendary edition (which they didn't), that's like... 1.3 million fucking people.

To see that type of support for anything is awesome. It's a testament to the legitimacy of this medium, and is a win not just for Halo, but for gamers. You would all do well to remember that.

]]>
<![CDATA[Johnny Pathetic commented on Sony Invites Microsoft to Blu-ray]]> @EvilJ: That was my point...

]]>
<![CDATA[Johnny Pathetic commented on Sony Invites Microsoft to Blu-ray]]>
Microsoft, Sony, Paramount, and Toshiba could combine to form a colossal, high definition robot and it still wouldn't sell these new formats.

Unless industry support becomes so far reaching that DVDs are no longer manufactured, Blu-Ray and HDDVD are both going to fail.

Currently, they're racing each other right off a cliff.

<![CDATA[Johnny Pathetic commented on Metal Gear Solid 4 Games Convention Trailer]]> @Raio: You eat popcorn when you watch a flamewar, not start one you stupid dick.

]]>
<![CDATA[Johnny Pathetic commented on Metal Gear Solid 4 Games Convention Trailer]]> Nice trailer. Acknowledgment: that was a little campy.

]]>
<![CDATA[Johnny Pathetic commented on Paramount Drops Blu-Ray]]>
It wasn't even ten ago that we saw the majority of movies released on the VHS format. How can people seriously be expected to move away from DVD? Why would they even want to? It's too little and too soon.

Blu-Ray and HD DVD: fuck 'em both.

<![CDATA[Johnny Pathetic commented on Bashcraft's 360 Finally Dies (How's Yours?)]]>
I'm on my second. I love the damn thing to death, but I won't be surprised if that turns out to be a literal statement.

Fix your shit MS. I want to get my Mass effect on.

<![CDATA[Johnny Pathetic commented on King of Kong in Theaters Today]]>
Didn't Master Billy Quizboy crap on the relevance of this film when he crapped on the DK high score not long ago?

<![CDATA[Johnny Pathetic commented on It's Sony And Microsoft's Fight Now]]>
Wow. They're going to push this casual games shit every bit as hard as they pushed cartridges: right into the grave. Lets see who Nintendo thinks they're competeing with in five years time.

]]>
<![CDATA[Johnny Pathetic commented on Almost One Third Of 360 Owners Unaware Of Xbox Live Arcade]]> Shame on Kotaku for posting this shit. A base of 149 people representing millions? That's voodoo research if I've ever seen it. Newsworthy polling amounts to more than chicken entrails Mcwhertor.

]]>
<![CDATA[Johnny Pathetic commented on The GTA IV Delay Is Totally Good]]> @VenoMuS: Good call. I'm all for some caning.

]]>
<![CDATA[Johnny Pathetic commented on The GTA IV Delay Is Totally Good]]> Talk about fuel for the fire. Is Kotaku looking to start a fight?

]]>
<![CDATA[Johnny Pathetic commented on The Low Expectations Halo 3 Missile Pack]]> This is the obvious exploitation of a valuable franchise, but hey, the SPNKr has held a place in people's hearts since Marathon. Cut the product some slack.

]]>
<![CDATA[Johnny Pathetic commented on Dueling Banjo Hero]]> Speaking as someone who can perform this song with actual instruments, I'll like to say that a Guitar Hero adaptation would be a complete letdown.

The whole fun of dueling banjos is in playing along side the banjo (or the guitar, as the case might be). This could translate well in Rockband, but not in Dance Dance Revo... I mean, Guitar Hero.

<![CDATA[Johnny Pathetic commented on EA to World - You Aren't Real Enough]]> Did he add that bit about Mass Effect, Mark, or was that your own special insight. You fanboy, you.

]]>
<![CDATA[Johnny Pathetic commented on King of Kong Trash Talk]]> Why the hell is this Wiebe guy crying about what he PLANS to do? Go do it, Mr. Wiebe, and hope you can end on as classy a note as Mitchell did.

]]>
<![CDATA[Johnny Pathetic commented on Microsoft Bets N'Gai (Again) PS3 Will Be $399 This Year]]> Those are some VERY specific parameters for a wager. So specific, in fact, that I don't believe anyone (even Pachter) would be brazen enough to make them without KNOWING they held some merit. Corporate espionage FTW?

Anyway, I hope Vrignaud loses. The world can use more dreadlocks.

]]>
<![CDATA[Johnny Pathetic commented on Wired Declares E3 "Expired"]]> @crecente: Why is it that poor saps like Irenicus get smashed the instant they reveal their dirty mouths, while celebrities like Enigmanemesis can whine and accuse and berate without any repercussion so long as it's clean?

I thought banning was the difference between relevance and flaming. If posters are getting kicked because they can't defend themselves or their opinions as eloquently as others might, then its a sad day for Kotaku Land. Hell, I'll go one further: it's pretty fucking gay.

]]>
<![CDATA[Johnny Pathetic commented on Microsoft Updates 360 Backwards Compatibility List]]> Morrowind? Well, I'll be damned...

]]>
<![CDATA[Johnny Pathetic commented on Who Won The E3 Press Conference Smackdown?]]> JESUS. This is like wading through shit. Who cares which company "won" E3? That shouldn't even matter to gamers. If you're comfortable with the prospects of your respective console(s), then YOU win. I know I did.

]]>
<![CDATA[Johnny Pathetic commented on Microsoft E3 Press Conference]]> That's pretty badass... they better release this to the 360 crowd.

]]>

<![CDATA[Johnny Pathetic commented on New Fallout 3 Scans]]> Jesus. All you whiners disgorging simple opinion need to CHILL THE FUCK OUT. Hold the reactionism in check until the game drops and there are some reviews circulating, because what Fallout 3 might or might not be at this point is irrelevant.

The schemas people erect around franchises are ridiculous. You're acting like kids who complain about the pancakes in front of them because they'll only ever eat Belgian waffles for breakfast. With tastes like that it's a wonder you manage to play games at all.

]]>
<![CDATA[Johnny Pathetic commented on Mass Effect, BioShock Turning Japanese]]> Good stuff. Now all they need to do is announce the goddamn release date.

]]>
<![CDATA[Johnny Pathetic commented on Strip PS3 Blu-ray Copy Protection]]> @Koffdrop:

Regardless of what Kotaku should or shouldn't be posting about, don't be so fucking naive as to correlate the price of digital media with piracy.

The cost of CD's has been static since the 1980's. New release DVD's haven't dropped a dime since their inception. The failing Hollywood business model is responsible for the rising cost of movie tickets. High definition formats are only another way to milk consumers.

I understand you hold some stake in this, but that bias is interfering with the cold, hard truth: if things were cheaper, there wouldn't be much piracy. Not vice versa.
