@Evilsoda: In this case 5/5 does not equal 100%. And no, its not maths. The scale they use has 5 points on it, to denote how much they did or did not like a game. You can not compare that to another scale where there a 100 points of "satisfaction".

This is why sites like metacritic are essentially useless for gauging a games success, or otherwise.

For reference see most well respected games journalists.
@daputti: "does it make my opinion less valid" [www.goodreads.com]
@daputti: This is not about the models or destruction. Did you even read the article or just watch the video?
@Eggyhead85: While I think you'd have to buy it, it could be a could way to help coax people to buy a move if it was free..? (Not just for this obviously)
Cost is a huge factor, and they just work. Tough to break (in my experience). Only problem is they need to find a way to stop me loosing them...maybe we Europeans just loose/replace more phones. :)
@VagEnthusiast Now more enthusiastic than ever before!: Not this big no. Huge functionality in your game not working on a version of your console. The only way that could slip by q/a is by huge incompetence on their part, which I think would be worse for a company like Microsoft.
@VagEnthusiast Now more enthusiastic than ever before!: They test these things to death, theres no way the didnt know it before they shipped it.
Whats with the playstation network logo? Isn't that only on games with psn support? (Or are they counting trophies :/)
@demographic: My cat loved exploring :)
@Evilsoda: It isn't morally biased, taking a game your supposed to pay for is wrong. Just because you can doesn't mean you should, or that it can be right in some way.
@FabAndroid: While a pirated game doesn't equate to a lost sale, you're still gaining access to something you should have paid for. As such the publisher/dev etc should have gotten reimbursed for you receiving the game, so it reality it is a lost sale.

Its a murky argument but its a bad defence for piracy that gets used all to often. And I know some people pirate as a demo, but there the problem is with inadequate/no demos, still doesnt give them the right to pirate games.
@Mikekearn has an overly long username: This is the same argument which always get dragged out, that its your right to alter a product as you wish.

You may want that to be the case, but if you bought a product and used it under the given license etc, your bound by it. I suspect (I haven't checked so I could be wrong) you'll find the ps3 one covers running un-licensed software.
@Revenge_of_Nekojin: You've just justified Sonys actions here.
@potatojenkins: So your complaining because the product you bought doesn't do something it was never advertised as doing?

Native mkv playback would be nice (or just use ps3 media server and problems be gone), but its not there. That sucks, but what can you do? Not buy the product if it doesn't meet your expectations, maybe?

Also, of course Sony has the right to defend there sources of income, suggesting otherwise is just stupid. A console is not a PC, if you want a PC, play a PC.
@Fernando Jorge: "...developing for multiplatform means more money which translates in more investment in the game development..." I see your logic but thats not how the real world works. Cross platform dev is going to involve spreading out your resources, you may getting larger investment but I highly doubt all multi-platform games do, certainly not an amount which reflects the increased cost of development.

This could, not necessarily will, lead to an inferior product.
